Anyone used Squaretrade or the like for cell phone insurance? I need to pick something out for my Nexus 5. Here's a pretty interesting article on it:http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/11/a-detailed-guide-to-phone-insurance-in-the-us-who-has-the-best-coverage-and-is-it-even-worth-it/

I've had Squaretrade on my last two iPhones. If you look around you can almost always find a pretty significant discount code that will drop the price down by 35%, in fact I probably have a few laying around if you decide to go that route. Whether it monetarily makes sense or not it's worth it to me from a peace of mind perspective. I can't stand cases and refuse to put one on my phone, to me it's like buying a new car and riding around with towels covering the shiny new leather seats until you decide to sell it. I've had an iPhone since the day the original came out and (knock on wood) I've only broken one but having Squaretrade makes me feel like I can carry it around on a daily basis without sweating whether or not something is going to happen to it.

i paid $80 for 3-year coverage on my wife's moto X through squaretrade...used a 40% coupon i found on slickdeals, i thinkthis was last month...and after it fell out of her back pocket into the toilet it was within 30 days of purchase, though, so before we even know the phone would be okay (it has been, so far), we went ahead and got the warranty[Edited on January 12, 2014 at 12:52 PM.
