Considering these vehicles. I'm familiar with the hondas, and I loved my accord.Rav4 has a great v6 with good gas milage.Subaru has much better awd but higher maintenance costs. to get similar power to the Rav4 v6 i would need an xt, which are hard to find, then I have turbo maintince and premium fuel.Right now I'm leaning CRV just because of the familarity with the accord... But CRV v6 could potentially tow my bike...

RAV4 doesn't offer a V6 anymore.CR-V never had a V6.Forester has a CVT.

Depends on how much awd you need/usehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOmZIu_y1jsan awd system that fails/don't work is wasted money . If you don't need awd, then.... Rav4.

I just bought an Outback and am super happy with it. It has mega storage space and I can lay down in the back without needing to lie diagonally. Only have 1000 miles on it but build quality seems superb.

^^^ I just bought a 2007 Subaru Outback for the winters as a third car for my family and it's OK. I felt the CR-V's at that price point looked too dated, and I may be incorrect saying this, but I believe they're FWD and kick in 4WD during slippage (similar to the Pilot and Ridgeline). For that reason, and the fact that we just generally liked the interior/exterior looks of the Outback, we went with one of those. They understandably have depreciated a little more than the Honda/Toyota, and we felt we were getting a 'more modern' car based on looks (sticking around the 2005-2007 range, though). We were'nt trying to spend more than $10k and ended up with an Outback with 95k miles, fresh off the 90k service (belts, fluids) with new tires for $9k. It's not too exciting, and we would have got something different if we didnt need the wagon/SUV trunk space, but it fits the bill.
