A constant fuckup, or someone who got thrown under the bus by Ohio State University?

His mom came off as a saint in the documentary but I think she had more to do with is demise than the documentary led on. It seemed she was by his side the whole time but he kept making bad decisions. The documentary made the athletic director look bad. That is plausible. If that's true then I think that was the real culprit. Forcing him out of the program his sophomore year did him in. That alienated him from the team and football. That is really all the street kid had. I thought Tressell came off as a good guy but he totally left Maurice hanging after the AD decided to suspend him for a year. Seems like Tressell could have used some of his NC credits to butt heads with the AD.I'm sure Maurice had a part in it too. He got famous too quick and didn't respect what he had and how quickly it can disappear.

He live tweeted the premiere of that 30 for 30 last week. It's definitely worth going back and checking out his timeline. Pretty interesting commentary.

Article in ESPN the mag a couple months back about Lebron and Clarett and how both were coming out of HS in Ohio at the same time and were friends. Of course Lebron made better decisions about the people he associated with and got to turn pro/make millons right away and Clarett kind of got fucked by that 3-yr out of high school NFL rule. He still could of made better choices and did eventually get drafted, but wasn't good enough to make an NFL roster. Sucks for Clarett.
