Bioshock Infinite Season Pass - $20New Vegas DLC on Sale - ~$15Red Dead Redemp Zombie Stuff - $10--------------------------------------$40-50 off the top of my head

CS:GO, probably $10-15 on keys opening cases. But I've been able to sell enough in game drops(cases/guns) to make that back and more. Keys are $2.50 and one I opened I was able to resell for $10. With games like that if you're smart about it you can easily make money, esp. since the drops are all cosmetic and have no impact on the game.^I wasn't thinking about DLC...Borderlands 2 DLC...all the main campaigns. Got all of these on sale so probably about $5 each for the 4.CS:GO Operation Alpha and Bravo...$7 I think[Edited on December 5, 2013 at 7:19 PM. Reason : ]

Maybe $200?

$0.0 bucks

WoW subscription - whatever that was for a few years.

I think I bought a few games for Rock Band a few years ago. That's about it.
12/5/2013 8:34:13 PM
I mean I've spent a lot on DLC and expansions but I didn't buy those "in-game" so I don't count them. The tiny DLC that you do buy in-game I generally don't buy.Counting stuff on ios and other small purchases I'd estimate 50-60 bucks.

is this the thread where I talk about how nerdy it is for 30-somethings to still play video games?
12/5/2013 9:30:24 PM
Oh shit, I forgot about Rock Band. I used to buy 2-3 songs a week for that. For a while there it was far easier to tell you the songs I didn't have, rather than the ones I did. Probably $300-400 easily on that, if not way more. Aside from that, I think I bought the expansion for Mass Effect 3, for $10, I paid $3 to remove ads from an iPhone game that I enjoyed, and I think I bought the extra sandbox thingie for Bad Piggies for $3. I think that's it.Oh and one time my IAP cracker thing failed me and I accidentally paid $5 for some coin doubler thing in another iPhone game. So that wasn't really on purpose, but I guess I deserved it.]

I'm not really talking about subscriptions and expansions here, only the things you spend money on that you don't "need" to in order to play/beat the game...buying gold, lives, extra cars in GTA5/racing games etcFor myself, I could probably search my transactions for Google or something, but I'm actually scared to do so ]

oh okay then$0
12/6/2013 7:26:04 AM
$0, I pay retail for my games, I refuse to get suckered into this microtransaction stuff.
12/6/2013 8:09:42 AM
$0 lafta bucks I have a serious moral issue with that shit
12/6/2013 8:26:29 AM
I only ever buy story-based DLC, and even that's really rare outside of Borderlands, for which I've had season passes. I prefer the old-school unlocking of new skins/weapons etc. I can't really think of any of that sort of stuff that I've ever bought. Oh, I bought some keys, MvM tickets, and Bonus tickets when I was playing TF2 a year ago. $20 on any platform[Edited on December 6, 2013 at 8:44 AM. Reason : .]

if they'd just spell "mortgage" correctly.. le sigh it is interesting how many kids online will lose to me and pull the "get a life/move out of your mom's basement" nonsense- wife- dog- home- truck- full time jobsometimes.. gaming is someone's hobby. others like to burn time working on the lawn/hunting/golfing etc.back to topic:i've probably spent $150-200 on various map packs between halo and cod. i'm on the dlc boycott bandwagon though after seeing the consequences of further supporting publisher greed: less content upfront, more money for weaker content. this is one particular reason i like Valve - they're still updating TF2 with free stuff and the game is several years old now.pure progression microtransactions: $0 dollar bucks. screw that garbage too.[Edited on December 6, 2013 at 9:59 AM. I bought a few extra missions for Valkyria Chronicles I, maybe a Mass Effect item by redeeming a code on a Mountain Dew cap. Excluding story/expansion pack DLC, I don't pay cash for in-game stuff on principle.
12/6/2013 10:10:52 AM
CoD maps, I've bought a couple of retail games with a 'season pass' for their DLC if that counts, and I'll support an occasional F2P game if I'm getting any amount of time and enjoyment from it. Maybe around $200 over several years.

i think the only ones ive bought were the Halo 4 season pass (did play 2 of the map packs, havent since) and 10 bux on TERA character slots which wasn't so bad since the game is f2p.

Maybe around a hundred?Mass Effect: Citadel for ME3 remains the best DLC I've bought. Completely redeemed the game.
12/6/2013 11:31:28 PM
Bought the "premium" version with no ads/etc of a few android games. Probably $20-25 in total. Dont play any games that have DLC, but Id probably dropped for it.No microtransactions though. Even playing Eve Online Ive never dropped for ingame cash to do stuff.
