a shitty war movie with a shitty bowie cover

^Bowie cover was shitty but the movie was actually pretty good.Saw it today, it was pretty damn intense. I'd say it's the best war movie to come out in a while. I did a lot of fact checking and looking into things when I got home and there are definitely some exaggerations, but what do you expect? I'd watch it again, and would recommend checking it out.

really liked it. it's definitely not an "enjoyable" movie going experience based on the story. It's really intense, gut wrenching at times, but the film itself great, tight action sequences, and the Peter Berg stylings paired with Explosions in the Sky on the music hit the mark.

^agreed on all points. I saw it Tuesday night. Awesome film. The ending is tough though, definitely got a bit misty eyed out of respect for the sacrifices these men made.

^,^^ my thoughts exactly. Although I wish they would have stated that Lt Mike Murphy was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions, and the rest of the team all earned the Navy Cross; making them the most decorated SEAL team in history.

heart-wrenching movie. enjoyed it from beginning to end. and enjoyed is a loosely used term as someone stated above. hard to enjoy seeing heroes die for no reason but a great movie.

Didn't really like it. Not to sound like a freedom-hating terrorist or anything.Seemed to me like it was just 4 guys rolling off mountains with sniper scope views of blood bags exploding on arabs for an hour.

I watched it the 10th.I really enjoyed it. I know they had to embellish a few parts, but it is a movie.I'm also happy that the story is out there, and the movie is doing extremely well.

Seems like they actually did jump down the mountain and the injuries were correct. The guy who survived had ridiculous wounds. The ending was the most fictional part -- I think they threw that in so it wouldn't seem like so much of a win for the Taliban.

I love the critic tagline in the trailer"The most extraordinary war film since Saving Private Ryan" - Bill Simmons, sportswriterI listen to Bill Simmons' podcast and his cohost Cousin Sal (Jimmy Kimmel's cousin) gave him all kinds of shit for that.
