I will be attending UNC as an undergrad very soon. I dont know what to do about it. My other options were Duke or Washington. Is this a suspendable offense?
12/3/2013 11:31:52 AM
Yep, see ya.
12/3/2013 11:33:35 AM
Wear NCSU gear to class every day and we'll allow it.
12/3/2013 11:34:35 AM
more school? what exactly do you do?
12/3/2013 11:34:40 AM
12/3/2013 11:37:24 AM
at this point I am kind of a carrer student...Its pretty awesome. I dont do shit and people pay me to go to school to get diplomas. I'll probably wind up with a PhD on accident.
12/3/2013 11:39:17 AM
what's the pay structure like for that?
12/3/2013 11:40:13 AM
Hi, I'm crazy_carl
12/3/2013 11:41:32 AM
...last year i made a lot of money...and then they pay me a monthly stiphend for living expenses, but i have free health care, and some money from the VA, so all in all i live a very good life.also, they pay for all of my educational needs as well, usually a new laptop is included, which is nice...so i got that going for me[Edited on December 3, 2013 at 11:44 AM. 12/3/2013 11:54:37 AM
btw i cant spell words good
12/3/2013 11:55:03 AM
^ which is why you are going to school, right? Also, I don't get it, you are going to go as an undergrad. So, you didnt go to NCSU as an undergrad? Then how come you joined tww?
12/3/2013 11:59:37 AM
I went to state twice as an undergrad...Phillip Rivers years and Russel Wilson years...small layoff between
12/3/2013 12:12:54 PM
AHA, so you got someone to pay for a third bachelor's degree? That's awesome.
12/3/2013 12:15:11 PM
3rd? no 2nd yes, and possibly further if i want to
12/3/2013 12:19:27 PM
Why would you want to get several undergrad degrees? That just seems like a monumental waste of time and crazy, UNLESS you are rich and never have to worry about having a roof over your and your family's head. I have the utmost respect for people who want to learn, so kudos for wanting to learn so much, but if you are just doing it for self-fulfillment and curiosity, it can be done in other far cheaper ways, on your own.Anyway, like I said, if you have some ancestral riches, go for it!
12/3/2013 12:20:30 PM
I have always been told multiple bachelors degrees are almost pointless, unless company who wants to hire you after you complete a certain degree you don't have yet, will pay for it, and then it would totally be worth it.
12/3/2013 12:22:57 PM
not so much the riches thing, but I dont have any kids or a wife to support, and honestly i didnt really expect i would hate the other job that i did so much. Plus its actually in a field i really like and this program would let me go all the way through for a masters and like i said further. So its really a good option now.Plus learning new stuff is kinda fun...sometimesonly downside is i have to take a couple pre-reqs for it which i still think are stupid and i shouldnt have to take...alright, im done for now
12/3/2013 12:24:09 PM
going to an institution of higher learning...how shameful :3
12/3/2013 12:58:05 PM
jon chickawakkawakka?
12/3/2013 1:08:07 PM
You should have gone to washington asshole
12/3/2013 1:15:17 PM
Whenever I receive resumes with >1 undergrad degree, it immediately goes in the trash.
12/3/2013 1:25:46 PM
i had to do the same thingyou'll survivebe sure to wear your ncsu hoodie or shirt or hat or whatever when you're on campus. they love that.^some people change careers & have to get another bachelor's before they'll be accepted to any grad programs. i don't see anything wrong with that. I understand why people go back for additional undergrads. It just shows me that they cant stick to something, no matter how horrible and painful it is. And to work with me, you need to be able to put up with some shit.
12/3/2013 1:34:39 PM
i guess it depends on the field. it's one thing to be changing jobs every year, but going back after several years in a particular field doesn't seem like a big deal to me. of course with certain fields i'm sure it's more questionable than others.

^Waste of time. Even though my people hate their jobs, they need to be efficient.

12/3/2013 2:53:49 PM
why did you decide against U-Dub?
12/3/2013 2:56:05 PM
12/3/2013 2:57:46 PM
I used to see a guy at my bus stop that rocked a bright read NCSU hoodie every day. I picked up a gray NCSU hoodie for Christmas last year, so we would always acknowledge each other in passing. Probably one of the BME kids as that is a dual-enrollment program, so they are back and forth between campuses a lot.

12/3/2013 7:17:02 PM
At washington you could wear a russell wilson state jersey and let them know we existed before wisconsin
12/3/2013 7:43:12 PM
and you could get a Jake Locker rookie card
12/3/2013 7:48:26 PM
I love Seattle, lived there for 2.5 years, U-dub is a beautiful campus, just not sure
12/3/2013 8:49:21 PM

12/3/2013 9:25:33 PM
