At 8-3, and in 2nd place in the NFC South, it may seem as if the Panthers are a virtual lock to make playoffs. I'm here to say otherwise. The Panthers have an extremely hard schedule coming up: TB, @NO, NYJ, NO, @ATL. In that list of games, I see 2 definite losses in there (NYJ and @NO). And don't think that ATL will rest up for playoffs, they didn't last year and they won't this year. NYJ is hott right now and Charlotte is getting cold, that is a definite loss. Now let's look at the others. NYJ: hott team coming off of a loss that has been shutting down the pass lately ( Brees-2 ints, Manuel- 245 yds and 2 TD which is pretty low numbers for him; other teams to keep him to those totals were NE and BAL). Not to mention that NYJ has been pretty good stopping the run lately. I give Panthers a loss here. Next, NO on SNF. Drew Brees owns the Panthers. Simply put. Brees has won this contest 4 out of the last 6 times they have played each other, and with a very strong Saints team right now, I don't expect anything different. Next, TB. Giving the Panthers a win here, but this game will be very tough. TB just beat DET in DET and they look to be coming back to their early season form, plus Darrelle Revis will be healthy by the time this game is played and Smith will be invisible. I give Panthers this win tho, barely. Next, @ATL, giving Panthers this win as well. I think the Falcons suck and Panthers will be more determined to win because they are fighting for a playoff berth, but this again will be a tough game because it is away.

In summary, the Panthers just have an extremely tough schedule and I'm sorry for you guys but it just isn't going to work out like you think this year. They have been a benificiary of an extremely easy schedule and they have shown a drop off in play lately. Not to mention with Seahawks a lock for #1 seed and Cardinals, Packers, Bears, 49ers, and now the Cowboys all breathing down their neck with easier schedules, the future looks dim unfortunately for the Panthers. This season for the Panthers will end as one of the biggest blown opportunities ever, and it will happen, but it isn't the Panthers' faults playing bad so much, its just that schedule. They have never been good this whole season, they got an easy early schedule and now it will show.

as much as I would like for that to happen to wallow in the Panther misery here in Charlotte......I don't think its gonna happen. Panther defense is too good, Cam is coming into his own and the NFC just isnt very good as a whole.

1. Seahawks
2. Saints
3. Packers/Bears/Lions
4. Cowboys/Eagles
5. Panthers
6. fight between 49ers, NFC North and NFC East. Panthers already have 8 wins while the North and East winners would be lucky to get to 8 IMO.

l wish the Panthers would've pulled out that Seattle and Buffalo game. They could literally be 10-1 right now.

I see the Panthers going 3-2 in these last games, and splitting with NO. Hard for me to believe that 11-5 won't get in as a wild card at least.

when the Panthers went to 7-2 (after beating the Raiders), they put a stat up on the broadcast...the stat was, 90% of teams who started off 7-2 made the playoffs. That is a fact. Then, we won another game and went to 8-2. Odds are heavily in the Panthers favor that they make the playoffs, despite what Miss Cleo hear wants to predict

Also whats so hard about playing the Broncos? We'll rush for 200+ on that soft run defense too

Who's trolling now bitchessss? hahaha How are those apples treating you guys? CAROLINA WILL NOT MAKE PLAYOFFS!!! YOU HEARD IT HEAR FIRST!!! and thanks Rally, finally a sensible fan. You sound like someone who knows there football, like myself. Now even after this win to TB, Carolina could still make it in, but I see it highly unlikely because they will be losing 3 of their next 4....and Dallas looks good.

Are you being serious right now??? GO back and read just a few posts from pages 1-6 of this thread. No one had even given the Panthers a glimmer of doubt of not making playoffs, until this guy came along and actually stated that he can very much see 1) where Im coming from 2) how it is VERY possible for the Panthers NOT to make it into playoffs. And best of all, he is a Panthers fan. And I like the previous post of me being more right than anyone else so far. THE PANTHERS ARE IN A LOAD OF TROUBLE RIGHT NOW!!!. Of all the games I predicted them to lose (NO, TB, NYJ), TB was the one I was LEAST SURE about, and look what happen. I'm damn near 100% positive they will lose to NYJ, and NO. Im 50-50 about the other NO game and I think Panthers will beat ATL. Dallas grabs the 6th seed and Panthers are watching the playoffs from their couches.

Some Saints fan wasted a lot of time today calling in two different radio shows with the same spiel...said something about Bama's national title streak ending, and used that to lead into the Panthers' win streak ending on Sunday night...and maybe he's right...but he is a moron...he said the Saints defense is better than the Panthers defense...and on the first call, he said we wouldn't be able to stop Graham and Horn...pretty sure Joe Horn retired like 8 years ago

Why are the Panthers going to lose to the Jets again?

This comment was made by someone named "elduderino" earlier. Now previous to that statement, he had never posted on here before, included in this short list is taboo2k, aaronburro, and rflong. Its one thing to argue with me thru the week and then come shove it in my face, but its another to sit their like a bitch with your tail between your legs all week and not defend your team and then come talk shit. No BITCHASSNESS IN HERE!!!

Now that Ive touched on that, Ive been gathering my thoughts since the game. Here is what Ive come up with: I was at a bar today watching the 49ers play, and watching the Panthers game with my friend (Panthers fan). Here is 2 things we both concluded while watching the Panthers game: 1) The 49ers really aren't that good (I def overestimated them) 2) Neither are the Panthers. This was really a game between 2 sub par teams.

Now the big question is: Do I see them making playoffs? My answer is still...NO! As I stated in my very 1st post, I see them losing @NO (Correct), NYJ, and @NO. I have them beating ATL at ATL but the game against ATL is a toss-up. After today though, I see them def losing to either ATL or NO, and actually, Im more confident they lose to NO. Panthers played NO today and that offense is truly great. It takes a GREAT defense to stop them like we didn't today. I dont see many team doing that down the stretch, including Carolina. SO my new predictions: Panthers lose to NO, NYJ, and they beat ATL on the road. THey still miss the playoffs. More on this later.

Yeah, I have to disagree. No way we lose at NO twice in one regular season.

People look at all the substantial evidence....1) Garcia hasnt lost to you guys in years 2) Bucs are better against you in Carolina 3) As good as you think your running game is this year, we are only 15 yds per game behind you, except our passing game is about 25 yds better 4) out defense is better 5) the Bucs have only allowed 1 rush td all season 6) Garcia doesnt throw picks, Delhomme loves to 7) Panthers have the least enthusiastic fans Ive ever seen (Fact). Every time I go to a Panthers game, it is so lame and I honestly feel bad for the players. And Im sure it will be the same. Bunch of rednecks. 8) Dunn owns the Panthers 9) We have more veteran leadership (1 def hall of Famer, maybe 2: Brooks and Ronde) 10) TWENTY-SEVEN TO THREEE.... its one to have home field advantage, and usually homefield advantage is giving the homefield team and extra td, but 27-3 is dominance. It was laughable.
