Ketel, Goose is overrated as fuck. I drink a shit ton of vodka and have found Belvedere to be the clear winner in terms of taste, drinkability and hangovers. I buy half gallons of Titos as they are cheaper and the shit is smoother than almost anything out there.

All vodka is fucking identical. Pick whichever one is priced at an amount of money that makes you feel good to pay it.

You're right. Let me amend it a little.

All vodka is fucking identical in a mixer. If you're doing shots, you're not tasting it anyway, so just buy cheap and drink lots of water if you get hangovers. If you're sipping vodka, stop and sip bourbon instead.

I disagree. I'd never do a shot by myself, but shots are perfectly fine for socializing and escalating a mood.

If you're talking mixers like juices, coke, ginger ales, and tonics...then you're mostly correct.

But if you're talking mixers like water and soda...then you're way off base. Water and seltzer can't hide bad vodka. With that being said...once you get into the mid-to-high end...there isn't much of a difference. So find a mid-range priced vodka that you like and stick with it. Paying a shit-ton for Grey Goose priced vodkas (and up)...is dumb. But Fleischmann's, Gordons, etc taste like shit if you're not masking it with a significant mixer.

Ketel and Tito's are the best.

Tito's >> Ketel One > Belvedere > Goose >= Stoli >= Absolut >> Svedka >>> Level > Burnettes

Honorable Mention maybe that Covington if the price would drop. $29.99 is fucking retarded for Sweet Potato vodka I don't care if it is local to NC.

And Level was seriously some of the worst tasting vodka I've ever had. I don't really care for Ciroc either though so I dunno.

Someone in CO send me a bottle of Goat for Christmas thx.

Yeah Tito's prices recently dropped to what it was a couple years ago. I saw it creep up to ~21.xx at one point which is still better than Goose but wow $17.xx is such a steal ($26/handle is even better I just always grab 750 unless I'm having a party.)
