Thank god for Sidney Lowe. Landing the most overrated, prima donna recruit in the country in 2011 Ryan Harrow enabled us to make the tournament in 2012 by forcing us to move Lorenzo Brown to PG. Harrow's personality disorder and early departure also allowed us to land the most overrated crybaby in the 2012 class Rodney Purvis. His subsequent meltdown allowed us to land arguably the most talented juco player in the country. Desmond 'Buddy' Lee in 2013. Crazy how many lemons we had to endure before we finally got a legitimate butterstick recruit.

WTF
11/10/2013 9:09:15 PM
This thread would have been a lot more impressive if you had made it before the dude put up video game numbers in the first game.
11/10/2013 9:29:23 PM
no that would actually require face to know what he's talking about
11/10/2013 9:33:03 PM
Not sure what you mean? I was very high on Lee when we signed him but im making the thread now because he is clearly a good player and potential stud and he deserves an appreciation thread. Hell even middling players like cj leslie and turds like rodney purvis got their own threads

11/10/2013 10:53:45 PM
face, please don't force him to transfer by talking shit to him on twitterthanks
11/10/2013 10:54:52 PM
Sure its posted on here. But this thread has nothing to do with me being right. Its an appreciation for Buddy.
11/10/2013 10:58:48 PM
After 1 game, let's crown him as a butterstick. After 1 game!!
11/10/2013 11:01:23 PM
his teammates call him Robert E. Jennifer Jason
11/10/2013 11:01:24 PM
I was hoping they'd call him the general.
11/10/2013 11:02:04 PM
11/10/2013 11:06:20 PM
we play better opponents?
11/10/2013 11:08:56 PM
don't you guys remember last year? 1 game was clearly enough to know that it was going to be a bad season. I trust face's analysis on things like this!
11/10/2013 11:12:24 PM
is a thread edgy if it is completely true
11/11/2013 12:02:18 AM
What's a butterstick?
11/11/2013 12:11:54 AM
Yeah, I don't feel like looking it up.
11/11/2013 12:13:26 AM
11/11/2013 3:17:05 AM
Great intensity and defense last night. He prevented Dez Wells from going-off on us.
1/21/2014 12:37:06 PM
1/26/2014 6:56:09 PM
Is he actually from Jamaica? If so we really have a pipeline after Gavin Grant.
1/26/2014 8:52:18 PM
Close. Norfolk.
1/26/2014 9:03:15 PM
yeah, he shouldn't have done that "X" so antagonistically!Pretty good game. He usually brings the intensity, but it sometimes gets him into trouble. one of our few "good" foul-shooters.
1/26/2014 9:38:47 PM
I still can't get over face's use of butterstick
1/26/2014 10:07:06 PM
BTTT
1/29/2014 11:01:38 PM
that was quick
1/29/2014 11:02:50 PM
Seems like he is really settling into his role with this team and coming up with big plays when needed.
1/29/2014 11:05:18 PM
lee stepped up this game when we needed him to. appreciated
1/29/2014 11:08:09 PM
He looked really good in that weave offense. Need more of that. When he can get into the lane without it being clogged by our big men, he can really do some damage.JUCO TUFFNESS
1/29/2014 11:12:01 PM
2/15/2014 10:36:17 PM
He's correct, chode.
2/15/2014 10:42:57 PM
It was the refs one mistake. Get it right
2/15/2014 10:44:04 PM
Yeah he is, but how about he takes some damn responsibility
2/15/2014 10:46:26 PM
Win as a team lose as a team
2/15/2014 10:57:27 PM
I just don't get how a member of a team can say his mistake didn't lose the game. So, was it everyone else's? That's the kind stuff the coach says at the post game presser.

face has built a lot of credibility over the years but really took it on the chin this season...
3/17/2014 9:11:32 AM
I mean...he's shown flashes... (end of UNC game...but that's about it)
3/17/2014 9:13:48 AM
3/17/2014 10:00:16 AM
I think he will be a much better player for us next year. He is very athletic and may have just taken him a while to adjust to ACC competition versus JUCO. Basically the same as a freshman may have to.
3/17/2014 10:14:52 AM
He plays fearlessly, which gets him into trouble a lot. He needs to add a floater to his game instead of just recklessly attacking the rim.He came in as a great shooter from deep, but we never really saw it. Hopefully he works on that this offseason. If he's a threat from out there next year, he'll be a huge asset.
3/17/2014 10:29:19 AM
I'm a big fan of that JuCo toughness.
3/17/2014 10:43:11 AM
Winning this year while also WTNY, I like it
3/17/2014 10:44:30 AM
^^^he was so bad from deep the first part of the season that he pretty much totally took it out of his game. At the end of the season, his offense was mostly non-existant as it seemed our offense turned into either: A. TJ WarrenB. TJ WarrenC. TJ WarrenD. Ralston Turner for 3E. TJ WarrenF. Post up from our bigs/backdoor pass to our bigs.
3/17/2014 10:48:32 AM
Lee did not come in as a "great shooter from deep". Although he was suppose to be a better shooter than what he actually shot this year...I don't think he's ever been more than a "he can hit an open 3" kind of guy.We don't need every guard to be a Scott Wood marksmen...we just need to have one guy that can pull up with a hand in his face (which Turner can do, more often than not)...and a couple guys who can hit a wide open three. If Lewis/Barber/Lee could have done that more this year, we would have been easily in the tourney.
3/17/2014 11:16:37 AM
Lee leads the league in shots that hit the underside of the rim..... shoot b4 under teh hoopz plz
3/17/2014 11:17:43 AM
He does a good job of drawing contact at the rim but it seems like he hangs in the air waiting for contact and never actually shoots it. If he could work on banking it in off the glass he could get lots of three point plays.

I didn't know Kanye West hung out with our team. Cool!
