how quickly do you want this thread to turn?
10/11/2013 9:03:19 AM
this is an honest question and not racist because you all know it's true

This thread is false. The selling realtor on my house wears one. He is not black. I'm not sure what he is though. So maybe part black is a possibility, but I don't think.

it is an honest question. maybe it's a status symbol thing.

^^i thought about saying "black people + assholes" but it sounds a little racistit's true though i think

i thought this was a tank-top, goatee, bald head, gold chain, bro-truck redneck thing

I've never see anyone at the grocery store (or some random other big box store) wearing a bluetooth headset, other than black people. Also:

I guess for the same reason that only black people wear lots of other things. It has to do with fashion, not telephone habits, I think.I'm not black if that's what you mean, though.

it is stephen fry talking about how language is an artform and not a rigid set of rules

Now the people not wearing these are in the minority!

At a trade show in Orlando last summer, I was given a Shokz Opencomm UC 2 headset. I've warned them almost every day since. They have the advantages of being wireless plus they don't cover my ears, so I can have normal conversations as well. The battery easily lasts a full day (sometimes two) so I have fully switched away from my Powerbeat Pros for these.

Is that one ear or two?

You've been warned. . .

The workers at jersey’s Mike all wear AirPods and sometimes are having conversations. The one white kid even had the bulky apple ear muffs on taking orders — i assumed he was autistic with sensory issues but he started joking with the other workers (he had a southern trailer park accent FWIW). Anyway seems like everyone is doing Bluetooth nowadays

My youngest wears a Bluetooth headset just about all day long. And wow it was early when I typed that earlier message this morning.

It's weird when they say something and you don't know if they're talking to you or not
