I'm trying to keep this topic limited to actors/actresses/directors who are still producing new work worthy of our consideration.

Gravity looks incredible. I liked Up in the Air, The Ides of March and The Descendants, etc

Joaquin Phoenix was incredible in The Master

I couldn't list one because the quality of most actresses' movies are inconsistent. They'll appear in something amazing, then turn right around and do a cheesy chick flick or something shitty and artsy. Thus, I wouldn't want to watch EVERY movie they're in simply because they're in the credits

Similarly, I love many Clooney, Depp, Dicaprio movies, but I sure as hell wouldn't watch EVERY movie they've come out with simply because they're in it. They each have some very shitty movies on their resume

I'll probably see anything with Tina Fey's name attached. I don't make it a point to see it, but it's a definitely a point in the movie's favor if I see her name.

That's why the correct response is Nicolas Cage.

his great stuff is GREAT and his silly stuff is infinitely watchable.

Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans,

a lot of people praise his Kick-Ass performance but I have zero interest in seeing that movie

and I have high expectations for Joe. But I can't figure out when it'll be released here.
