ok I'm too lazy to troll anymore so stay tuned for further troll comments in the future

I do still think The Doors are at least 100 times better though

way more innovative

way better sound

way better singer

way better musicians

way better lyrics/poetry

idk

the list could probably go on for miles as to how The Doors were better

too bad he had to die at 27 :3

but the way people treat them makes me hate them at much higher levels

I suppose that's why they've actually been heard of, and will forever go down in history

unlike anything you listen to and are somehow proud of listening to

we were supposed to go through the "underground music" phase while we were angsty teenagers, brah

not when we're 30 years old

will people be listening to the Doors or the Stones in 40 years? Yes.

The Beach Boys

100000000000000000000000x better than the Rolling Stones

I like the Doors just as much though

but musically speaking, they're both just as good

Beach Boys with the emphasis on harmony and bass lines

Doors with the emphasis on overall instrumental talent and "depth" of lyrics

I dig the Doors, Beach Boys, Beatles, and Rolling Stones.

The Stones are probably my favorite of these, though, followed by the Beatles.

I like a wide variety of music, though with a heavy emphasis on different flavors of rock (to include metal).

If I had a band, though, I'd want a straight-up rock & roll band, like late-60s/early-70s Stones, the Black Crowes, early Wilco, Drive-By Truckers, and maybe with a good bit of sax and harmonica á la Springsteen.

It's a misconception that the Beach Boys are a harmony-heavy band. They're just as focused on melody as they are on harmony, to the point that their melodic structures are often unconventional in tone order.

Lyrical depth is high as well, especially in the Parks era. As for instrumental talent, a good deal of the Beach Boys catalog was played by members of the Wrecking Crew, players with ten times the talent of Krieger/Densmore/Manzarek.

I trust VBs taste in music

I like the doors and used to not like any stones. For some reason I was associating their newer stuff with their old without ever listening to the old

I now realize the mistake I had been making and love the stones

I will fully admit that I don't have the musical understanding of folks like VB, etc, but I will say I do prefer the doors to the rolling stones. When I was a kid, however, the beach boys, willie nelson, and creedence were my favorites.

even though you're probably just fat trolling (cause that's what fat trolls do)

I'll humor you with a short response

it's not surprising that you wouldn't like one of the best rock bands of all time

since you're pretty much worthless and have retardedly stupid opinions

breath some fire out of your nose motherfucker

CCR is the shit (very groundbreaking stuff, imo - especially for rock music), and the Beach Boys too (can't beat 'em)

I do enjoy Willie Nelson, especially as a performer, but am not overly familiar with his music. is a cool guy tho, from what I can tell

Stones are great performers as well and again, I want to see them before they stop touring, but it's not likely I could get a ticket

would like to see McCartney as well

Stones just kinda became sour to me, a bit. they have way too much repetition. believe it or not, I actually kinda like some of their later stuff (like into the later 70s and 80s) more than their earlier

a lot of it just doesn't have a lot of replay value tho

I'm sure VB has a good taste in music overall

but being an elitist about pop/rock isn't exactly the best way to go about it :3

in unrelated news, my cat is making a little licking sound in his sleep like he's drinking water or milk, LOL

he must be thirsty :3

the mid 90s chili peppers were dope

just cause VB is right about music 95% of the time doesnt mean he isn't way off on this one

i mean, even the doors most commercial song ever still had a kick-ass 3 minute organ solo...how can you fuck with that

^^yeah, and i wasn't hyperboling. I think it's almost a masterpiece. Their Satanic Majesty's Request was the Rolling Stones somewhat satirical response Sgt. Pepper's, which was released about 6 months earlier.
