My friend is looking for a good home for their Shiba Inu and I'm passing this along. Here are the details I know:She's a pure bred 6 year old female Shiba Inu weighing appx 20 lbs.She is in great health, very loving, very smart and playful, fully house trained.Spayed, all shots up to date including Rabies through 6/2015.They may ask for a small rehoming fee.[Edited on June 29, 2013 at 4:09 PM. ^what kind of rehoming fee?Better just be enough to discourage Shiba burgers vs. the owners trying to recoup some kind of 'loss'

Beautiful dog. It would appear that this pup is also the sheriff.

I think they are asking $200 or $250. They care more about finding her the perfect home.I've babysat her a few times. She's definitely an attention getter.

If you know anyone seriously interested, send me a PM and I can get you in touch with my friends. Thanks!

$200 or $250 is not a small rehoming feethat's a we are selling this dog for $200 or $250 fee

The rationale behind a rehoming fee is that if someone pays it they most likely will provide a great home to the animal.

they are doing exactly that.....visiting the owners and living arrangements....they told me tonite they had about 20+ people expressing interest so they are meeting with the best candidatesshe really is a great dog....if i didn't travel that much for my job, i'd adopt her in a heartbeat

She found a good home. Now dancing and prancing in the fields amongst the flowers.

Well, this story has a sad ending. Apparently the family who adopted her has a daughter moving back home now, and she is allergic to dogs and cats. So they are trying to return the Shiba Inu. Hopefully one of you can give her a good home.

Update: So my friend says they don't care about any rehoming fee as long as she goes to a good home.

Your friend took it back? What an pushover. Tell that bitch to take some claritin.
7/11/2013 9:54:32 AM
Probably better for the dog's welfare to take her back than to risk leaving her in a home that doesn't want her regardless of whether the new owners are right/wrong for wanting to return her.
