3. Raised money and served food for local Rescue Mission for Hunger Awareness day4. Donated and served at shelter5. Donated clothes6. Visited and sang at Hospice7. See 3 & 4Number 6 is very sobering, yet oddly refreshing. Especially when you're singing to a dying lady in the hospice and her husband breaks into tears. Kind of felt bad at first for making an old man cry... but I think they were tears of joy (I think, since he was smiling too). Also, it's eye-opening to see little kids coming into the Rescue Mission. There's something about little children that always amazes me. On one side, I see is a hungry kid who doesn't have much. On another side, I see a care-free child just going along for the ride. Reminds me that sometimes life is better without the worries of wealth and comfort (i.e. taxes, mortgages, bills, etc...).I haven't gotten around to 1 or 2, but definitely on the to-do list.[Edited on June 24, 2013 at 4:55 PM. The only one that applies for me is #3. But I was on the receiving end & not in jail. And the girl (gf in this case) has no milk.
