I certainly do enjoy a Sunday afternoon/evening Red Bull. It's also a great way to start a Monday off too. Who else uses this golden nectar to get by?

Oh, and Sugar Free FTW.

being in the education career, i have noticed for a decade now that the heaviest drinkers of this vile miasmatic product are usually the worst performing students (secondary and tertiary levels).

i don't know if there is any causation, and if so, in which direction, but i wouldn't be surprised if it goes in both directions.

Silver is pretty damn good IMO, but Red is my favorite. In the absence of Coffee, this stuff is king.

I love the taste of Red Bull. I wish that they made a caffeine free version of it because I don't do well with energy drinks but I'd still drink the hell out of it.

And really, I don't think that there is any sort of causation going on with energy drinks and poor performing students. It's just demographics. Just think, who is going to drink an energy drink? It's likely going to be someone struggling to make it through the next few hours. Why? Stayed up all night, working second job, partying hard, hung over, depressed, exhausted, or any number of other things that are probably getting in the way of their education.

I thought caffeine helped to improve academic performance for a short period of time... Obviously if you drink this shit on a regular basis and/or multiple times a day, it's not exactly going to be your friend.

Red Bull doesn't cause dehydration. It has about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, and caffeine only causes dehydration in large amounts.

^ This.
What little diuretic effect it may have is offset by the fact that it's mostly water.

Mostly this. But I think it tastes great on it's own. And to hell with that sugar free crap, for me at least. I don't drink it often enough to make a difference (from a caloric point of view).

I assumed this was the name of a new Red Bull sponsored event that would join all of the others in being things I don't care about.

Who knew it is a Thai drink? I always thought it started in Austria.

Was created by a Thai and sold in Thailand for around 10 years before he partnered up with an Austrian marketing guru and started selling in Austria.

Thai dude died filthy rich last year.

It wouldn't really have become what it has become if they had carried on selling it worldwide with that name, would it have?

P.S. Billionaire founder's grandson killed a cop with his Ferrari last September in Thailand and fled the scene. He still hasn't been arrested. Imagine if it was an ordinary dude in Corolla.
