New neighbors move in and discover they have a whole raccoon family living in their chimney. They call Rid-A-Bug in Mooresville to handle the problem.

Fair enough.

Until the stupid shits REQUEST THEY BE FREED IN THEIR OWN FUCKING BACK YARD.

It's their backyard. They should have the right to do what they want with it.

Hire the same people to set traps in your yard, if you want to attack the problem before it really IS a problem.

Otherwise have fun.

Its not their right to endanger everyone elses pets and my expensive new screened in back porch.

Besides, when pressed on the matter they actually screwed up. They let the momma get away from them and apparently then you cant do shit with the babies because they will die.

...and then the granola stay at home useless shit wife is all like "aw leave them alone, mew mew mew, blah blah blah."

OH AND AS BABY RACCOONS WERE RUNNING ALL OVER THEIR BACK YARD LOOKING FOR THEIR MOMMA SHE WAS TRYING TO GET HER 3YO SON TO CATCH ONE AND PET IT FOR A PICTURE.

My advice has changed: set traps for the new neighbors. Release them in Rocky Mount.

coons aren't terribly difficult to get in a hav-a-hart trap. you need to wire down the bait so they can't get it by just turning the trap over.

So are you trying to trap them now? Where do you intend on putting them?

There is no reason to trap/release a raccoon.

Shoot those motherfuckers.

As NRR said, just shoot it while it's in the trap. It wont do any damage to the trap that can't be mended by a pair of pliers. We have done this for years with groundhogs and coons.

I gotta say... That's pretty fucking cold to kill an animal for no good reason. I hope you're eating those coons and making a cap or some shit.

Fuck.

Why not take ole buddy out to the country and release him?

most possums will actually bite the rifle muzzle when you stick it in the trap. no aiming required.

I grew up country and in a family that coon hunts, but I cannot stand the thought of shooting an animal in a trap unless it's injured or rabid. But coons are smart boogers and shouldn't be released right back in the dammed yard.

Reminds me of an upstairs neighbor we had. They were a young couple that had a few domestic issues and the guy wore whatever kevin federline was wearing at the time. The girl was a young cute blonde, so it was like living with our very own TMZ reality show.

So the wife and I come home and soon there after someone knocks on our door. It's the upstairs neighbor asking if its okay if he can shoot a raccoon that on their landing and blocking their way into their apartment.

First we're concern that the guy has a gun. Second I just said I'll take care of it, no need to shoot anything in our around our apartment.

I arm myself with a broom, go outside and climb the stairs ready to vanquish this bandit faced bundle of terror.

It's a fucking opossum.

I stare at it and ask the guy if this is the raccoon he was talking about. Both him and his girl nod yes. I stare at them and then look around to see if I'm on camera. Realizing they were both serious and this wasn't some prank show I almost forgot why I was there.

I proceeded to nudge the opossum down the three flights stairs. Girl sees the creature coming down yelps and tries to move quickly down the stairs. Her loving and gallant boyfriend cuts in front of her and beats her down the stairs.

The opossum makes it down the stairs hissing as only they can. It's at this point I inform them it wasn't a raccoon and that it was a opossum instead. Boyfriend looks like someone who came up short in the manhood department and the whole world now knows about it. Girlfriend looks like she wants to kill boyfriend for being a dumbass and putting himself first in escaping.

God damn it.

I anchored my trap because raccoons typically flip the shit over.

Something stole the tuna out of it without tripping it though.

Of course my dog is useless.

I drop the remote and it barks its head off like its saving all of us.

I hear something jump on the trashcan outside and its asleep on the couch.

I guess you guys wouldn't want to see a possum shot point-blank in the head while trapped in a cage and get thrown into a fire with (previously unseen) babies in its pouch...

No but one time I had a friend who was jogging and a possum got run over right in front of them.

It was pregnant and he said the babies shot out of her and up on the sidewalk like they were fired out of a bloody cannon.

And Im not saying that like Im British.
