Does anyone know anyone or have opinions about living at the Lake Johnson Harbour homes? There seem to be a few homes for sale there. I'm wondering how it's like living in the neighborhood, the surrounding neighborhoods/schools and what's to do there besides enjoying the lake?

it's a great, quiet neighborhood... mostly families and older people, with the exception of some young professional adults... you'd never even really know the mews was across the street

very different than pretty much every other part of avent ferry

easy access to 40/440 and cary crossroads (being close to that target is crazy convenient)

Lived there for a few years after college. Loved everything about the location and the neighborhood. IMO the homes are starting to look a bit dated now and looks like some owners are not keeping their homes up over the past several years. If you're renting, I highly recommend. If you're looking to own, I'd be a bit careful about the neighbors yards. As mentioned, some of them have let their curbside appeal go to shit so that's not going to be great on your property value. But if you find something in one of the sections without that issue, you'd love it there. I still keep tabs on the neighborhood 7 years after leaving just in case one of the several houses I really liked ever opens up.
