i call aa and get an answering machine that tries to do what the website does until you presss five buttons to get a rep. the system then puts you on hold for hours or offers to call back. finally talking to a rep and aa customer service is so inept that the "reps" have to call "agents" to figure out how to sell the promotions they offer. she just told me that she would put me on hold because the agent put her on hold to go figure out what to do.

I clicked on this thread during an AA award travel trip and A few hours later I went to go check into our return flights - first flight had been removed from our itinerary...had to skype AA...they put me on hold...said they needed to check with someone else...then I lost connection...they called me on my cell which didn't have service and left a vm that it was being fixed...played phone tag for another hour with them, then was told to sort it out at the airport.
