I'm actually looking forward to it this year. Sounds like EA is at least trying to improve the game this time around:

- Real-time physics via Infinity Engine 2.0.
- Improved running and option game
- Enhanced line play
- Better presentation/more stat overlays during gameplay. Highlights key players, conference scores, etc.
- Halftime analysis from David Pollack and Reece Davis
- Neutral site games, including official "Season Kickoff Games"
- More equipment, including Adidas, Under Armor gloves, balls, cleats, undershirts, etc
- Better crowd noise, including live recordings from the NC State vs FSU game last season
- 3 playable camera angles
- Quicker menus

More info coming soon on:
- Play a season mode
- Ultimate Team Mode
- Improved recruiting and Dynasty mode

Check out operationsports.com. Good info in the forums.

I'm pretty sure they've announced "improved option game" in some form or another every year for a decade+

they need to improve the passing game. Theres never enough pass rush, wrs rarely get wide open so 90% of the time its a completion in coverage or an interception.

Coach mode yo. It solves 90% of the bullshit. Move up from that arcade NFL blitz shit to the cerebral, adult option.

every "improvement" from their list has been on their list at some point over the past 5 years. Same shit.

Also, if this is the same "physics engine" from Madden 13......PASS. That ish was terrible

Not sure how much they actually improved the "option game", but I did hear an interview with an Oregon player that said up until this version it didn't come close to their offense, and he said this year they actually got it fairly close.

So I'm curious how close they really got to increasing the tempo, because I could see that being exploited some.

Also going to pick it up just so I can see if they have our new offense in it. I've been so use to running the old offense in NCAA that could be nice seeing some new plays. Just hoping they have Brissett on the team and I'm able to use him year 1(they never put in automatic red shirts).

The teams could very well not be representative of the actual players on the roster, since EA sports and the ncaa are getting sued over that exact issue.

It's supposed to be version 2 of the Infinity Engine used in Madden 13. Developers said that it wasn't developed enough to implement in NCAA 13 and that this should be a much better version of the engine. Players will have much better situational awareness and try to move around people in front of them instead of just getting knocked over like they did in Madden 13. It's discussed at about the 2:30 mark in the video below.

Unless someone got an early copy somehow(happens pretty often with new games these days), then it's just demo tweeting.

Game is coming out in the next couple of weeks. I usually get the demo but didn't grab it this year, the last few years though it seemed like they usually tweaked something from demo to release that improved it for me(rarely liked the demos all that much). Usually have an XBox Live update the first day you get the game it seems.

The last version I bought was '06 for the original xbox. I heard that the first version of NCAA Football to come out for the 360/PS3 was a huge step backward when compared to the last version on the prior gen consoles so I never bothered. I guess they were still ironing out the kinks from the console transition.

Anyway, I think the only reason I'd buy a new version would be to pick up all the conference realignments. I haven't played in several years, did they ever come out with a feature to realign the conferences? Including setting divisions, having conference championship games, etc. I'd also love to see an option in there somewhere to select what kind of post season you wanted. Bowls vs. playoffs. If playoffs how many teams. If it's not in the game, but you really, really want it, it's in the game.

i'll wait until the first update comes out before i buy the game. these games go gold with all kinds of wild flaws and if you start a dynasty, you can't get the update into your dynasty.

I'd also be willing to split ass on tww

^its been that way for a couple years. Those still pictures are what they hang their hats on.

So anyone getting this today? I want it, for the recruiting alone. I love simming and building a team through recruiting and I haven't bought this game in a couple years. I need to save money for a house I'm buying though, so it may be a lil while before I'm able to get it. Anyone that does get it, post your opinions on it

Plan on picking this up today. I'll report back after I've played enough of it to get a good feel. And I get it pretty much each year, so should be able to compare/contrast to previous years.

Well definitely a huge change going from our old playbook to a Pistol/Spread offense.

So far not really digging the updates to recruiting but I'm sure I'll adjust once I get use to the system.

New hits look good, though seems like CPU WRs are using stick'em because I'm smashing them and they refuse to drop a pass(last couple of years they would drop more of these). Haven't really seen a DB drop an INT yet either(user or CPU) and in the past they'd have a decent # of drops. But luckily haven't seen any freak LB INTs so far.

Also, Brissett is in the game, pretty sure our offense would be useless with Thomas starting. They have definitely improved the Read Option offense.

Clemson is next up on the schedule, so I can't wait to see how ridiculous they made that offense.

I like it, I like it a lot. Have not got into dynasty play as I am waiting on the rosters before starting but the came play is really good. Presentation and menus are a lot better as well. You can tell that the menus were inspired by Windows 8

game play is great in adult mode (coach mode), not sure what the "hit buttons as fast as you can and you might do good even if you are ignorant about football mode" is like, never play it.

it must be tough to call a play then set down the controller and gobble down a slice of pizza

whereas any 5 year old can read whether or not the safety is playing zone coverage or is shading to try and jump the passing lane when you consider throwing a post route to your tight end...after calling the play
