Let's predict the ACC/Big Ten Challenge opponents. We add ND, Syracuse, and Pitt. Precedent has been set with Miami, VT, and BC sitting out the challenge in their first ACC season. I imagine ESPN will do all it can to avoid that scenario with the Northeast market being excluded, but we'll see. My guess without Syracuse, etc..Duke @ Michigan State (or neutral site knowing Duke)Michigan @ UNCVirginia @ Ohio StateWisconsin @ NC State (lord, we need payback)links to 2012 conference standings and RPI below.http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/standingshttp://statsheet.com/mcb/rankings/RPI

Who plays Indiana?[Edited on April 10, 2013 at 1:07 PM. Reason : oh, Miami. duh]

4/10/2013 1:11:26 PM
Do they not matchup the teams by the final standings from the previous season?
4/10/2013 6:08:02 PM
lol Maryland?
4/10/2013 6:39:35 PM
^^no. it's pretty much based on preseason expectations, not previous season performance. though often those two things are closely linked.
4/10/2013 6:53:27 PM
I based my matchups on preaseson expectations and who played home and away last year. Usually don't play at home two years in a row and vice versa .
4/10/2013 7:26:36 PM
Probably Wisconsin, Iowa, or Illinois for us.
4/10/2013 8:42:02 PM
Illinois at home next year would be pretty sweet. Watch us end up with Northwestern or Penn State, and be regulated to ESPNU.
4/10/2013 8:46:09 PM
^Illinois would be cool considering we haven't played them yet. No way we get stuck with the bottom of the barrel. There are some really shitty teams in the ACC.
4/10/2013 8:47:14 PM
Miami and Indiana would be interesting, haha. Two teams that were top 10 to end the season, and a good chance neither makes the top 25 next year. If Larkin stays in the draft, there's a good shot they'll be picked in the bottom 4-5 of the ACC next year. Indiana losing it's top 2 guys will fall off a bit too, but Miami is potentially losing it's top 6 players.
4/11/2013 7:30:33 AM
Have they considered an NBA-NCAA challenge?
4/11/2013 8:43:40 AM
Even the Bobcats would beat Louisville, get out of here with that.
4/11/2013 7:17:28 PM
Miami will have a winning record. Its more about coaches than players.
4/11/2013 7:56:04 PM
Louisville would have a chance against an NBA team...with NCAA refs
4/11/2013 7:59:09 PM
I would like to play Ohio state
4/11/2013 8:54:46 PM
Wow we're getting no respect again. Just how we like it.
5/8/2013 12:42:39 PM
lol
5/8/2013 12:54:44 PM
Won't start as bad as last year amirite?

5/8/2013 2:06:09 PM
North fucking Western, back to being the 2nd tier of the ACC
5/8/2013 2:08:02 PM
If you really study the matchups, the only thing to have a small beef with is GT getting Illinois instead of us. Maryland getting Ohio Statecould maybe be off, but we needed a home game. Besides that, what else makes sense for us? [Edited on May 8, 2013 at 2:16 PM. Reason : got me, fucker]
5/8/2013 2:11:17 PM
5/8/2013 2:12:24 PM
the only team that got shit on harder than we did is miami based on last season's results (yes, i understand it's not just based on last year's standings)
5/8/2013 2:16:19 PM
Chris Collins & The New Look Wildcatscoming into PNC to whip yalls asses
5/8/2013 2:17:15 PM
seems to be a fairly even matchup, should be a good tussle
5/8/2013 2:24:33 PM
^^"yall"?
5/8/2013 2:30:46 PM
Hmm VT, Wake and Clemson getting left out in favor of the new schools.
5/8/2013 2:35:19 PM
All I want to know is, when is NC State going to get some respect in their own damn city when it comes to dog accessories??? (NC State is in Raleigh)[Edited on May 8, 2013 at 2:47 PM. Reason : d]
5/8/2013 2:46:45 PM
only bitches would wear the crap pictured
5/8/2013 2:54:58 PM
Considering we needed a home game and will basically have 2 players back from last year's team I'm good with getting an easier opponent this year - hopefully it won't be that way in the coming years though.
5/8/2013 3:10:20 PM
all i want to know is if Seacat will be with the Northwestern crowd
5/8/2013 3:16:04 PM
unc and maryland on the road again[Edited on May 8, 2013 at 3:22 PM. Reason : ]
5/8/2013 3:21:18 PM
no upside to playing northwesternwin does nothing for us and a loss kills usplus we'll have to deal with chris collins storiesdid unc get the dregs of the big 10 during the doh years?
5/8/2013 3:44:44 PM
5/8/2013 3:52:54 PM
Looking at the overall schedule, the ACC should dominate. With Pitt, ND and Syracuse on board, we regain the depth advantageACC wins: NC State, Miami, BC, Pitt, Syracuse Big 10 wins: Illinois, Ohio StToss ups: Duke/Michigan, UNC/Michigan St, Wisconsin/UVa, ND/Iowa, FSU/Minnesota
5/8/2013 4:01:38 PM
i'll take nebraska over miami
5/8/2013 4:06:11 PM
5/8/2013 4:23:12 PM
5/8/2013 4:32:08 PM
I wouldn't be so sure that Miami will win at Nebraska. remember, they're losing Larkin, Scott, McKinney Jones, Kadji, Johnson, and Gambletheir returning players averaged 14.4 ppg last year
5/8/2013 4:42:19 PM
didn't they just get a bad-ass pg transfer? or at least a transfer listed them as a finalist.
5/8/2013 4:46:18 PM
they still have a fantastic coach
5/8/2013 4:52:58 PM
Miami finished 9-7 in the ACC (20-13 overall) the year before, when they had a bunch of 25 year old juniorshe had a great run with George Mason, then a great regular season last year, and only managed a Sweet 16lets not act like he's Phil Jackson just because he has done well twice in his entire career with teams chock full of seniors
5/8/2013 5:39:23 PM
^^^ they got Kansas State's point guard, but he may have to sit out til 2014 unless he can prove family hardship
5/8/2013 5:40:55 PM
LATINO HEAT
5/8/2013 9:46:43 PM
Duke at home. Shocker.
5/8/2013 9:56:43 PM
Miami will be fine.Larranaga's done more for this program in two years than Haith was able to do in 7 with arguably more talent at times. The two K-State transfers are interesting.
5/8/2013 10:03:50 PM
I don't think anyone ever doubted that Larranaga is a better coach than Haith, the question with him will continue to be whether he can recruit well enough to stay competitive.
5/8/2013 10:18:07 PM
fuckin' Northwestern again
5/8/2013 10:20:34 PM
