First game of the season @ Atlanta tonight. Go Phils!
4/1/2013 3:43:19 PM
Utley the only one doing workFuck hamlet. This is why we chop.
4/1/2013 9:46:04 PM
had some opportunities at least. I hope Lee and Howard have comeback seasons
4/2/2013 1:14:25 PM
man this thread is dead. Looks like a fire sale is coming soon...
5/6/2013 4:42:56 PM
I'm a Phils fan. Getting spanked by the fucking Marlins on Sunday had me concerned. Halladay is off to an awful start. The win at SF has made me feel a little better. Hopefully Kendrick can pull out another W tonight.
5/7/2013 9:44:14 AM
I hope Halladay pitches again, he's a great player. The Fanatic (Philly sports radio) had everyone calling in saying how selfish he was for continuing to pitch even though he knew he was hurt. I think we'll know in a couple weeks whether they'll clean house or push forward. The Phils have a history of heating up in the warmer months, although last year it came too late.
5/7/2013 2:43:12 PM
it's a ghost town in here. Brown is looking great and hopefully a Miami sweep will put us in second. [Edited on June 4, 2013 at 3:38 PM. Reason : .]

http://www.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?topic_id=28898650&content_id=27740233&c_id=phi good for Mayberry Jr., first career grand slam.
6/5/2013 1:04:50 PM
Walk off in the 11th against the marlins. The phillies are thaaaaat bad
6/5/2013 1:22:21 PM
thank you for posting in my thread. I mean, Pettibone was pitching. Also, we're tied for second in the division in wins so that's better than where I thought this team was headed a month ago. At least we're surviving.
6/5/2013 3:03:06 PM
You have a point. You are surviving. The nationals are about 3-4 bad games from blowing the season. I just don't see a resurgence until the end of July at least.
6/5/2013 4:04:58 PM
Second in division, better than .500 record, and our offense is heating up. [Edited on June 7, 2013 at 10:02 AM. Reason : and 4 games away from a wild card]
6/7/2013 10:01:00 AM
bumped this for Raggedyeah the Phils are struggling. Hopefully we'll have a good series against Washington and the Sox but Kendrick needs to get out of this slump and Pettibone needs to keep doing what he did against the Braves. THERE ARE STILL HOPES[Edited on July 8, 2013 at 10:16 AM. Reason : .]
7/8/2013 10:12:29 AM
does your name allude to Roy Halladay?
7/8/2013 1:43:10 PM
Braves series was huge and so is the Washington series this week. Lee is on the trade block again according to espn. Might end up like last year and tank the team and rebuild or if the offense stays hot the pen needs some working on. Brown is really good and should bethe face of the franchise
7/8/2013 2:28:50 PM
^^nah it just means NCSU all day. think I got it from Chapelle saying ALL DAY SON or something. I was an sophomore and I'm not very creative with web handles.I hope they don't get rid of Lee, I believe he has said he wants to retire in Philly but he does have the most value along with maybe Papelbon. Hamels has been a tremendous disappointment but finally had a decent game the other day. I wish we could dump Howard but I don't think anyone wants his contract.
7/8/2013 3:05:13 PM
The NL East is weak as hell so there is no reason for the Phils to give up yet unless they truly want to shed some salaries. The Braves lineup is full of problems and the rotation and pen are exactly scaring anyone either. Honestly as a Braves fan, I still expect the Nats to win the East and the Braves to be battling for a WC come Sept.
7/8/2013 3:05:47 PM
Lee should not have left the rangers. But thanks for the win tonight
7/8/2013 10:40:53 PM
So old fat ass, pig nosed Ryan Howard is going to be out for 6-8 weeks? Howard is clearly not the hitter he once was, but he is still good at driving in runs so this hurts the Phils chances of making up ground in the East.
7/9/2013 7:13:14 AM
I like Brown in the 4 spot anyway.Tonight's game is pretty big - if we win we'll be in second and right now we're 7.5 behind. Come on Lannan...
7/9/2013 9:13:40 AM
^ Lannan pitched last night.
7/9/2013 10:51:03 AM
ah, you right. Hamels it is then. man he's had a rough year (3-11) but he's won his last two starts, albeit with some help from the offense.
7/9/2013 11:37:15 AM
Lannan had a pretty good game last night. Way to take advantage of Washingtons trash
7/9/2013 6:17:46 PM
Lannan blows but he has no problem beating the Nats this season
7/9/2013 6:34:52 PM
sucks Lee couldn't pull it out. Hopefully Kendrick gets out of the slump he's in tonight.
7/11/2013 11:11:16 AM
Back to under .500 ball you play. I really thought brown, revere Rollins would wake this team up. Can't believe Rollins hasn't been to an all star game since 05 either. When he gets traded away and Howard can't keep up this team is going to be in a race for the marlins last place position
7/11/2013 5:52:46 PM
7/12/2013 9:38:31 AM
only 5 games behind for the wild card and half a game behind Washington for the second spot in the NL East. Won the last four series too. Revere injured, though.
7/15/2013 2:04:22 PM
The Phillies are not in bad shape right now, but they need either the Braves or some combo of two of the top three NL Central teams to come back to them if they are going to do anything this year. They still have solid SP and Papelbon has been very good. Brown is a stud and Utley has played well. The Braves have real issues if some of these injuries are serious as the lineup already had numerous holes and the SP is hit and miss[Edited on July 15, 2013 at 2:39 PM. Reason : sd]
7/15/2013 2:38:46 PM
Looks like we might actually be buying some guys. A lot of discussion on trading away Young. The pitching staff is looking pretty good with Pettibone stepping up and Kendrick getting back into a groove. We could use another bat, especially with Revere and Howard out.
7/19/2013 10:47:03 AM
Lucky for us, when the braves hit a home run. They usually win.
7/19/2013 10:46:39 PM
Lee is your only chance in making a run for the division. A wild card at this point is a joke for anyone in the division. Trade him now for some hitting
7/22/2013 9:31:39 AM
I don't see it happening. I'd rather see Papelbon go before Lee. Young is definitely on the chopping block and I think Ruiz would be good to move also.
7/22/2013 11:19:36 AM
Start trading away like last year. Here come the mets to take over the Division
7/24/2013 10:27:43 PM
Trade away that terrible outfield
7/28/2013 9:21:11 PM
just when there's a flicker of hope, reality comes crashing in. injuries abound. Papelbon bitching too, he should be the first one we get rid of.[Edited on July 29, 2013 at 11:33 AM. Reason : 8 straight games dropped]
7/29/2013 11:33:30 AM
Looks like Lee is on the block now. That Howard contract was such a massive fuck up I don't even know where to begin.
7/30/2013 11:10:18 AM
Amaro better make some damn moves today.
7/31/2013 4:31:32 PM
nm[Edited on July 31, 2013 at 5:00 PM. Reason : add another shit]
7/31/2013 4:59:43 PM
Might get away with a win today
8/3/2013 5:04:33 PM
O look, the atrocious bullpen is coming out
8/3/2013 5:31:55 PM
Might can scrape by with a W tomorrow
8/3/2013 9:30:10 PM
Nice 1st inning cliffy.
8/4/2013 8:16:19 PM
Hahaha your loud mouth shit talking fans are just as bas as the shitty players on the team. Fuck Papelbon.
8/4/2013 11:02:38 PM
Congrats on the golden sombrero Delvin.
8/4/2013 11:37:47 PM
lol at ESPN showing their shit fans all depressed for the last hour of the game
8/4/2013 11:39:55 PM
So glad I decided not to make the trip up for this series. That would have been an easy $500 down the drain.
8/5/2013 9:23:22 AM
Not down the drain if you root for the right team
8/5/2013 10:17:45 AM
^^ha, I was there last night. The only highlight were the alumni players. After the first half of the first inning my dad and I looked at each and I was like, yep, it's going to be one of those games....we had fun though before the game:after the game, not as much smiling.
8/5/2013 10:27:36 AM
yeah the season's pretty much over for the Phils. so much hope and then lose 12 of 13. at least we'll wipe out the cubs (hopefully) before going back to Washington and Atlanta.
