Not procedural at all. Just one grand storyline with a couple subplots thrown in.

The question is - who copied who, Clones (Image comic book) or Orphan Black.

finally watched the first 5 episodes. i like it, but don't love it. i feel like it relies too much on the main actress. not that she's bad, but it just seems like an impossible role.

What are other shows you like?

I liked it personally. But it's not some great show either that anyone who watches it will love. It's a relatively well made show. And I thought the main actress did a great job playing all the different characters.

So it kind of depends on what sort of shows you like in general. There are a lot of people who would probably write it off after a few episodes just because they're not that into the premise.

It's definitely worth watching a few episodes to see if it's something you may like in general. If so, you'll probably be happy to keep watching. The season doesn't take a shitty turn or anything like that where you get sucked in and then it falls apart. Nor does it get significantly better "if you just stick it out to point x". It's pretty consistent throughout the season, and may get just slightly better if anything.

When Rachel told the head doctor not to worry about it or whatever while in his office (I know that's not very specific), was she saying "don't worry about it (I'll take care of it)" or "don't worry about (it's not your concern)"?


So far, he's seemed to be pretty in the know. Is it possible that it goes higher than him and she actually knows more than he does? I feel like his exact involvement was sort of reveled some last season, but I don't remember if he's just getting to play a part with the research or if he's higher up in everything that's going on.

Helena is my favorite of the clones (as far as being an interesting tv character goes). You really have no idea what she's going to do most of the time, but there's this little possibility that if given the opportunity and most ideal series of events, she could be a little less crazy.

I'm kind of tired of Alison though. I really do not give a shit about her being in rehab.

^ yeah, it was a little more palatable at that point (I was literally watching it as I made that post). But that facial hair just looks bad make up wise. And the thing that really bothers me is the long, feminine hair, but Tony presents as a male. Why would a transexual wanting to show as male have hair like that?

And I get that it would be tough to cover up all of her hair and what not. But it's just a bit of a stretch.

Haven't seen the finale yet, but anyone else feel like the 1st season was way better than the 2nd? Just feel like this season has had a lot of moving parts without much really happening.

Yeah. Here's what happened (let me know if I miss anything):

Donnie is exposed as definitely being a monitor, but he didn't really know much

Felix and Alison bonded

The cop is let in on everything and is helping some

Kira's father was introduced (he leads a seemingly simple life... but he's super smart and is really good at "hacking")

Leike (sp?) was shot and killed by Donnie (accidentally)

New Clone Model (Castor)

On that note, the new Dyad is Topside

Paul is in the military again (still?) and is part of topside it appears

New transgender clone

New baby clone (not actually a baby, but like 8 years old)

Rachel may not be emotionally dead after all

Rachel is going to be short one eye moving forward

Allison and Donnie's marriage seems to be on the mend after coming clean/helping cover up a murder together

Helena left some nitrogen at Felix's... ? who the hell knows why.

Helena was kidnapped by the military (topside) and it was Mrs. S' doing as part of helping sarah.

Still, nobody knows what Mrs. S' deal is.

The religious group/cult stuff



About half of that is all from the finale.

I feel like plenty happened this season, and one thing that I really like is that they keep revealing information at a much faster pace than any other show I can think of.

I'm pretty sure those were more of her babies (embryos I guess?). Some were implanted in her, and the other girl, and those were more of them

I'm still watching and enjoying. Next season will be the last, and they know ahead of time, so hopefully they can write a good satisfying ending.

I still like it, but I'm getting confused (have been for awhile I guess) as more and more organizations have entered the picture on top of Dyad. Hard to tell who is for what and who is working for/against each other.

I was really digging this show until the last episode of the first season. The reveal that they've patented the illegal clones, or the illegal cloning process just kind of messed with whatever "grounding" factor this show had.

There's obviously a huge amount of resources being put up by some organization, but to tell the audience that an illegal experiment has been patented through patent law? That's a bit of a stretch. Of course they didn't tell us that the patents were approved, but they made it sound like they couldn't do anything because they were someone else's property - it just wouldn't hold muster.

I'll get over it though.
