Congrats on the car. If a mid-sized FWD sedan is what you need then at least you got one of the best ones.

Hope you enjoy it!

I like this styling way more than the previous 6.

My '06 6 5-door was about as much fun as you could have with a FWD sedan.

This is the gas version...diesel doesn't come till later this year.

I am coming from a 2005 Mazda 3 base model with absolutely no options..I needed something larger but didn't want a crossover or hatch. I test drove some other midsize sedans and the 6 had better mpg and nicer styling inside and outside..(in my opinion).

Ended up getting the touring model with tech package. It's definitely a very nice car with tons of features..it handles awesome too.

Still keeping my 3 also..to fun to get rid of

Honestly if you want to have a cheap economical secondary car that you barely use but have because it's "fun to drive" you should really get something else other than a base level Mazda3.

I mean...yeah seriously come on man.

my thought is this :

if it has under 300hp i don't really care... unless its under 2800lbs and rwd.. then i'll give you 200hp.

that is all...

its not touching the bush..gopro has a 170 deg fov and makes things look quite distorted..
..im still avoiding bushes effectively

id probably get into some trouble if i had more than the 3...last reasonably fast car we had in our family was a Alpha Milano verde...it is more compact now than it was when it was new..

what do you guys recommend as a cheap fun to drive car that wont cost an arm and a leg to maintain?

1995 m3. light, rwd, all over the place, doesn't matter if it has a CEL, lots of after market because you'll need to replace the entire suspension when you get it

hey..as per a ton of recommendations on here, i asked Pete from TVP how much to tint my car..was quoted $200 for normal and $300 for premium..

Has anyone gotten the premium..is it worth the $100 extra?

Ehh... Pete at TVP didn't do THAT good of a job on the lexus window tint... I went to Tinted Atmosphere and the results were much, much, much better at the same price (with same lifetime warranty to boot).

TVP is the place to go for clearbra. Tinted Atmosphere for window film.

Must be some bubbles at the defrost lines or on the side glass where it's painted.

Looks cool man, but I think I'd get rid of the Mazda logo. Maybe black it out or something. A lot to like about that car though.

Unfortunately, all of the grille inserts I see for sale preserve that dumb seagull M.

Otherwise I think it's gorgeous.

there is radar behind the mazda logo up front so i dont think you can black it out easily..(not that i would..)

..i could be wrong..

made an appointment for the premium at tvp...hope your issues were just an isolated incident.

I got my mazda 3 tinted at formula one and they did a mediocre job, a couple bubbles and a major hair under my driver side window. They also cracked the surround to my rearview mirror and when it fell off a couple days after the tint job they tried to claim it wasnt them.

hoping i have better service with tvp

the front end is somewhat large on this car..but i feel like it give it a very aggressive stance (for a sedan)
(the second picture at the top of this thread is a go pro pic..so it makes the proportions slightly off.)

bout to go get my tint done...cant wait to see how it looks when its finished

planning on going with 35 all around..but maybe ill do 35/20

any suggestions?

OK... i'm going to accidentally sound like a douche again..

I'm not being a smart ass... i literally get excited over new appliances.. this car is definitely cooler than a refrigerator.

Not to mention when my wife got her new kia i enjoyed that too as it was the only thing i've ever had purchased new.
