wow, that's just ridiculous
3/5/2013 10:25:44 AM
Damn
3/5/2013 12:28:21 PM
So did it sound like maracas right after you hit it?
3/5/2013 12:33:07 PM
did your car stop better?
3/5/2013 1:21:38 PM
Looks like it has a lot of tread left. Must've barely had time to brake it in.
3/5/2013 2:48:20 PM
yea, only 5k on the tire, still have no idea how it ended up on its side (perhaps front tire kicked it up).Loud pop then a little rattle....Tire went flat very quick...
3/5/2013 4:57:30 PM
you, sir, deserve a round of applause.
3/5/2013 6:01:23 PM
Tire brake?
3/5/2013 6:57:49 PM
the other scary part is that someone driving around may be missing a brake pad hopefully it just fell off of someone's truck bed
3/5/2013 8:13:03 PM
First things first, how the fuck do you run over something that big

I ran over a catalytic convertor once. That sucked No vehicle damage though, go figure.
3/6/2013 10:31:32 AM
nobody really even near me that I could tell. It was at night and i was running to a hockey game.Actually blew out the back right tire...Im thinking possibly the front one kicked it up, then the back tire caught it?
3/7/2013 7:56:35 AM
yeah i don't recall ever having a front tire pick up a foreign object. it's always the rears.
3/7/2013 11:54:17 AM
This is the kinda of crazy shit you'd read on the net, not hear it from one of us...Just imagine if that shit happened on your bike...

A few years ago, while working at that same DTC I found a huge brake pad (at least 8 inches) inside of a LRE tire, but the tire had not been damaged in any way. Whoever installed the tire for that customer had put a scrap brake pad inside of his tire.

His wheel was probably tired and wanted a brake.
