you forgot that today's "country music" isn't actually real country, and just countrified pop?

thanks for the article, i'm interested in the album.

i'm a big fan of the bakersfield sound. buck owens toured japan in the 60s!

listened to this the other day and now I see there's a Volume 2 that was just released

this one features Willie and Dolly among others

There still is a bunch of good country out there today, you just have to know where to look.

But real country is a lot like real hip hop in that it is less about targeting massive appeal and more about expression and conveying a bit of dissatisfaction with the world. Modern country is just bullshit. At least you can dance to modern hip hop.
