I was cleaning out some old boxes in my garage yesterday and found a couple of X3 CE modchips that I purchased a few years ago. Due to an ordering/shipping debacle, I ended up buying two and only using the first one I received, so one is BNIB and the other was removed and packed back up, LNIB. I know these are still highly sought after, so I'd like to put these in the hands of people who will put them to good use.First kit is one that I installed and removed when the system board died. I never got another XBox, so it's been packed up since some time in '07. It's in perfect condition, and I even replaced the pin header so it's installable just like a brand new kit.$50Second kit is completely BNIB. Never used, however I couldn't remember exactly what came in the package originally, so I did open this one just to verify that the first kit wasn't missing anything.$60[Edited on February 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM. I thought the same thing until I saw that they routinely sell for more than original retail on forums whenever they pop up. For whatever reason, this particular kit is still quite popular and people are willing to pay good money for them, so I'm happy to oblige. I didn't want to just throw them out when they're worth something, so hell, best offer takes them.[Edited on February 11, 2013 at 12:26 PM. Reason : OBO]

I wonder why they're worth so much.

Dang, ought ought to pull the one out of my old Xbox, its worth more than the console!

Ahh, the smile on my face when my xbox first booted to the x3 bios...

A modded Xbox is still the most versatile media streamer out there. If I didn't care about the form factor I'd still use my xbox instead of my jailbroken appleTV. Plus it's great for emulators and you can expand the storage space.

the celeron 733 p3 and 64mb of ram are pretty limiting if you want to watch any kind of hd source

^Sure, but lots of people like myself are perfectly fine with divx or xvid rips of a blu ray source which will play decently fine on an xbox with a bit of buffering. I'd take a 3gig "HD" file over a 16-40 gig file any day, assuming it's a quality of the rip. If you do it right you only really notice a big difference in scenes that are heavily panned.
