Is yours real or fake?Saw the OTL report where the NFL is cracking down on fake jerseys.I personally have 2 "game" jerseys who were purchased for me. (Nike has the game, limited, elite versions)Why pay 200 for stitched jersey, when you can get a china man to make you one for 20?(not sure if this is the right section, but I figured I would stick it here)here is the OTL:http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/8900519/nfl-us-government-score-record-bust-fake-jerseys

I have 3. One is original sold from the team store but I got it for $5 because it was a former sucky player. I'm going to have the nameplate changed. One is an eBay knockoff I got for like $20. The third is an original but only paid $90 for it.

This is why I loved when I was in Korea, they had a few jersey store right outside of base, 20-30 bucks a pop
2/3/2013 5:32:32 PM
From a hockey standpoint, the knockoffs look like shit. I'd rather wear a tshirt than the pieces of shit you see some folks wearing at the RBC Center
2/3/2013 8:00:16 PM
you can get decent deals on ebay, just make sure the seller's rating is good
2/3/2013 8:04:53 PM
Got a few knockoff jerseys that I'm relatively happy with. They don't look perfect but they are well put together.
2/3/2013 8:05:09 PM
Instead of buying that shit, why dont you just save your money and buy a real one that wont fall apart or look retarded. There are definite differences in quality vs an authentic jersey
2/3/2013 8:23:10 PM
have a friend who calls out every single person at panthers games with knockoff jerseys
2/3/2013 8:26:25 PM
2/3/2013 8:53:32 PM
The only thing I asked for Christmas a few years ago was a brand new Jacsonville Jaguars jersey (best team in all the land). Once I opened my present, I immediately knew that it was counterfeit. I put on a FAKE smile and thanked my parents for giving me everything I ever wanted.
2/3/2013 9:46:05 PM
The knockoff panthers jerseys use a different blue that is easy to spot. Pisses me off too
2/3/2013 10:09:58 PM
all my china jerseys are amazing... for TWENTY dollars.geez you people. yea its not as good. but i dont need to wear the exact same fabric the athletes wear. keep dreaming guys. you aren't pros
2/3/2013 11:00:14 PM
Its not about being pros, its about not buying complete shit
2/4/2013 12:01:15 AM
Football jersey snobs. Now I've seen everything.
2/4/2013 12:22:54 AM
grown ass men wear clothes with another grown ass man's name on the back of it? unreal.
2/4/2013 12:33:42 AM
2/4/2013 12:46:57 AM
^^ why is that worse than grown ass men wear clothes with another grown ass man's name on the front of them? For example Ralph Lauren.
2/4/2013 12:53:28 AM
I bought some soccer ones on a lark around 2003. They were $10 and looked fine, but the cut was awful. Nothing like even a regular t-shirt, let alone an "athletic fit"-style shirt or jersey.
2/4/2013 1:30:57 AM
2/4/2013 1:40:31 AM
yall motherfuckers would get your asses laughed out of a dice game rockin that screen print bullshit
2/4/2013 2:17:05 AM
I see these people all day, wearing their counterfeit jerseys, with their counterfeit OtterBox clipped to their belt loops
2/4/2013 3:09:29 AM
I have a Cam Newton knockoff and I can't tell the difference until after I washed it. Some of the stitching came out but other than that, who cares, I saved $200
2/4/2013 8:46:58 AM
2/4/2013 8:53:55 AM
2/4/2013 8:56:52 AM
I got my hockey jersey for half price on opening night. No way I'm paying full price for one of those
2/4/2013 9:10:30 AM
Why does the US Government want to prevent people from having the freedom to make a living? These other jersey makers are just taking advantage of the market desire for cheaper jerseys. You people want to tell kids they have to pay $90 for an official jersey that the NFL forces the Government (a corporate-government collusion that YOU should be worried about) companies to make a certain way? You're a jerk.I have 5 jerseys. This is my favorite one. It's a throwback from the 90s.
2/4/2013 9:47:03 AM
i've purchased a few major league sports jerseys over the years. the counterfeit ones while cheap in price are cheap in product and craftsmanship. i bought a knock-off NY Giants Cruz jersey and it was horrible; i ended up just giving it to my brother cause he didn't care. i've gotten a NY Yankees knock-off too and that was pretty good in comparison to the legit one, the only noticeable difference was under certain lights the white fabric wasn't as white as the legit jersey.knock-offs are way too hit and miss so i'm just going legit from now on. the best way is ebay or craigslist and find an authentic legit jersey for dirt-cheap. last year on ebay i found an authentic premiere NY Rangers Lundqvist jersey, which retails for over $150, for $50. brand new condition. best deal ever.
2/4/2013 9:56:40 AM
I've never heard of "premier" being a part of hockey jersey category. And authentics run WELL over $150... the new ones are $325. my bs meter is going off over here
2/4/2013 10:03:12 AM
My buddy had a counterfeit Wilson Seahawks jersey last night. I'm def going to have to order from his site because the quality was higher than I expected.
2/4/2013 10:07:46 AM
^^ NY Rangers Premier Road Jerseyhttp://shop.nhl.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2626978&cp=3169596&clickid=body_bestsell_txtat the time when i got it, the Lundqvist ones above were over $150, i think close to $170. they don't even have them available on the site right now. this was all done back in August/September so prices i know have changed some.and yes, i know about the $300+ jerseys, i'm not talking about those.
2/4/2013 10:27:36 AM
The new Reebok hockey jerseys have like 4 different tiers. The ones they actually wear on the ice are crazy expensive and then they go down in price as they remove the different "performance extras" like moisture-wicking fabrics replaced with cheaper polyester, etc. although they still look the same.I think my Canes jersey is a CCM from Kohl's, how do I tell if it's a knock-off or not?
2/4/2013 10:48:09 AM
limpwrist gay thread.wow.
2/4/2013 10:57:24 AM
I didn't realize collecting sports memorabilia was gay. You're an idiot.
2/4/2013 11:06:37 AM
collecting =/= wearing
2/4/2013 11:12:02 AM
I always envision the typical grown man who wears jerseys to fall in one of two categories.wannabe rappers/thugs who also tend to wear their flat-billed hat with the sticker on cocked sidewaysoroverweight middle aged dudes
2/4/2013 11:17:08 AM
I've got a knockoff Staal jersey that I bought 3 years ago that was ~70 iirc, but you'd never in a million years know it was a knockoff. I've compared it to my coworker's jerseys when I go to games in our box and have even compared them side by side and cannot tell a difference.Granted, I paid $70, not $20, but it was still a great savings. I'm beginning to wonder if it's not a knockoff and just "fell off a truck"...
2/4/2013 11:17:28 AM
Yeah, I definitely don't get the jersey-wearing thing.
2/4/2013 11:21:40 AM
2/4/2013 11:33:55 AM
I've got a few. Good quality
2/4/2013 12:04:55 PM
yea like i said I spent $20 on jerseys from several different sports like hockey, baseball, and football... i even have some replicas bought at full price and i can't tell the difference...a lot of complaints on here about "screen print" and "letters/number falling off"... I'm not calling you liars, but that sucks. Mine are in perfect shape after several years and several washes. We need to find yall the "right" counterfeiters
2/4/2013 2:07:49 PM
I've attended numerous sporting events from NASCAR to cricket, I've never felt the need to wear a jersey. I'll agree that hockey jerseys are more acceptable, that's it though
2/4/2013 2:17:46 PM
2/4/2013 2:20:42 PM
Nope, and I've been to many[Edited on February 4, 2013 at 2:23 PM. Reason : a jersey is not a good look]
2/4/2013 2:22:57 PM
how is a hockey jersey "more acceptable" than wearing a football jersey to a football game?
2/4/2013 2:27:54 PM
ITT men try to show how manly they are by discussing how unflattering basketball and football jerseys look.
2/4/2013 2:34:06 PM
I haven't worn a jersey to a Panthers game since the Stephen Davis days and I go to every game. I just don't like wearing a jersey. But I always wear my Braves jersey when I go to Braves games. I think it's the fit, more like a t-shirt, not cut wide and long with long sleeves like a football jersey or hockey sweater.]
2/4/2013 2:50:10 PM
2/4/2013 2:50:25 PM
Grown men shouldn't wear jerseys.
2/4/2013 2:56:55 PM
It does seem to be more widespread in hockey than other sports from what I have noticed that a huge percentage of the crowd seems to be wearing jerseys. I have no idea why that is.
