so i got a samsung bd-e5400 for christmas, and i can turn it on on the actual console, but it doesn't respond to the remote control. i programmed my harmony remote and it doesn't work with that either. i think the factory remote works because i was manually programming the harmony with it, so it was emitting something. any suggestions before i return it to best buy tomorrow?and yes i put new batteries in it[Edited on December 25, 2012 at 8:48 PM. reviews: http://tinyurl.com/bt4b2ucI bought a Samsung smart blu-ray player weeks ago, read the reviews, returned it (never opened) and bought a Sony You'll have to step it up to the next price point though ($100+)

did you peel the clear plastic film off all the displays and screens and shit? my retarded ass mom kept that shit on her android alien smartphone for months and kept calling me bitching about how her phone touchscreen doesn't work good. i think those greasy toothbrush-in-the-drawer types at the cellphone store thought it was funny to tell her it's supposed to be like that.

Yeah I peeled that stuff off. Like I said, the next one worked fine so I guess it was just defective
