This is really bugging me but recently my system stopped using AMD Cool 'n' Quiet tech (making it REALLY loud).I try to run CnQ but it says EAccessViolation, I've checked the BIOS and everything is enabled for CnQ.Anybody else experience this with Windows 7 64-bit? I'm wondering if a Windows Update kicked something. Also, for the jerks, yes I did search Google.[Edited on December 5, 2012 at 8:53 AM. Reason : Jerks]

Would help to know what system specs you have and versions of drivers.

Also, the CnQ is working when Windows isn't running (aka BIOS / Boot Process)

uninstall the app, reboot

smoothcrim, did that already, long before thinking of posting here.Tried uninstalling, reboot, reinstalling CnQ.Updated BIOS, just in case.Reset BIOS, just in case...then set the settings appropriately.Seems something in Windows 7 64-bit has flunked out and I'll be darned if I could figure it out.

no, don't reinstall. the bios should handle it without the application. just make sure the fan numbers are set right. I had a board come to me with the fan configured for 75% for anything over 40*

smoothcrim that's what I thought too.The system works fine before Windows boots. Once the Windows UI get up the fans kick into high gear. Ugh, I can't figure it out for the life of me.

CPU is sitting at 47C (CPU Fan at 3110 RPM)MB at 38C (Fan1 1013, Fan2 988)AMD Heatsink installed.

yeah, that's as cool as its gonna get. though your rpm is real high. mine is at like 1852 55*[Edited on December 12, 2012 at 10:16 PM. Reason : turn the fan down in the bios]

Yeah, the fan stays significantly lower until the Windows 7 (64 bit) Welcome Screen loads. Definitely a driver somewhere fucking up.Damn it.
