Need help with a dude gift.

Story: Been seeing a guy for 4 months. We see each other every day/night. Hang out with friends together. He takes me out to nice, datey places. We have fun together doing random, casual stuff. He took care of me when I had my wisdom teeth out. Cool dude.

Conundrum: But we've never had any "relationship talk" and do not have a label on what we are. So I don't want to go over-the-top with gifts. But he spoils me constantly... last night was a 9-course truffle dinner at a great restaurant. So I want to do something thoughtful.

What are some good ideas for cool gifts for guys?

Was thinking of getting tickets to a Cirque Show, then giving him and his dog Christmas stockings stuffed with a variety of nice goodies (iphone accessories, tech-touch gloves, etc) and inside jokes. Could use suggestions for gadgets and such.

A Little About Him: Finance guy, travels a lot, part-owner of an obstacle-course race series, obsessed with apple products, into NPR, from South America, major foodie, loves craft beer and good wine, runs a lot

I suck at this. Thanks for any HALP!

What does he like to do?

What is he giving up to spend all his time with you?

Get the answers to those questions and you have the perfect gift.

What's he giving up? I guess giving up sex with other chicks. Not sure I want to give that as a gift.

Speaking as a person who has gotten touchscreen gloves from at least three different family members, are you sure he would actually use them?

Maybe get him a nice microbrew or a tasting session at Tasty Beverage Co. or something, or one of those fancy Nike armband things that connects to your iPhone to tell you running/exercise stats.

You could put together a stocking for him, but with some high-quality goodies tucked inside.

You said he's a foodie. Do you know if he has any interest in a CSA? Just a jumping off point. You can "gift" all kinds of different CSAs at different price points to people. This same idea also applies to other kinds of "artisan goodies" that he might like. Is he a fan of wine and cheese pairing? High-end charcuterie?

One example of a site that sells charcuterie, wine, cheese, craft beer, and monthly pairings:
http://shop.pastoralartisan.com/index.php/charcuterie.html

South American foodie? If he's a coffee lover, I have a favorite nerdy coffee product that I regularly get people. It's a type of Viennese Triple Cold Extraction coffee recreated by a guy in San Francisco. Gifting it would be like gifting a bottle of unique liquor--sorta:
http://www.funraniumlabs.com/the-black-blood-of-the-earth/

One example (OF MANY) craft beer monthly clubs:
http://www.craftbeerclub.com/?gclid=CJSe3KP0gbQCFQ0GnQodWBoAAg

If he likes scotch, whiskey, or any liquor that you know he likes but doesn't keep (or would be a special treat) then find a bottle online or in a specialty store.

Anyway, just a few ideas. If he's the kind of person who is well off and can afford to buy what he wants, and is hard to gift for because of that, then I always recommend unique things. I jump to food and drink products because those are sometimes hard to find or at least a unique gift for a lot of people, instead of say, an iPhone or a laptop or something.

More blowjobs?

I like the adventure thing.

Maybe a trip to a food heaven thing.

Beer and bbq - something like a tour locally or texas.

Men love three things. Meat, beer, and fucking a hot woman.

I suggest you wear jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat.

gigggggidy.

I was kinda in the same boat last year. I ended up getting him an iphone case and a t-shirt, both of which I designed and had made and also a stocking full of sexual goodies like massage oils, lubricants, little battery-operated finger massagers/"stimulators"

I might have gone a little overboard with the stocking stuffers. the people in line behind me at Target must have thought I was a sex fiend

I'm gonna be that asshole and say that if you're doing this:

Quote :
"Been seeing a guy for 4 months. We see each other every day/night. Hang out with friends together."

Then you should know what to get him and not have to get your ideas from a bunch of completely different people on a website. By paying attention and listening, I've been able to make 99% of my Christmas/Birthday/Valentines day purchases in the past 10 years. Not that difficult.

He's from South America you say?

Unlike Americans, those guys are typically very honest and open regarding their emotions. Sounds like he really likes you if he spoils you all the time and takes care of you when you are sick. He might be very receptive if you talked about the condition of your relationship, which could lead to increased intimacy, trust... all that good stuff.

That being said I would schedule a trip or big activity for the both of you to enjoy. Sounds like he'll appreciate anything you do though.

Yet you're agreeing with everyone that says "take him on a trip!" ?? Might want to have that relationship talk first.

^^ Yeah, after logging off of here yesterday, I realized that would be a bad idea. I just want an excuse to go to Vegas. I'll go with the girls instead.

^ And definitely no relationship talk right now. The chaos of the holiday season is annoying enough as it is.

Grown adults don't need a full "talk" anyways. We're not checking "yes" and "no" boxes at this point. Asking whether or not you're "exclusive" shouldn't be a big deal. This isn't college and you're not trying to get the Delta Sig that you blew last night to not try and fuck your suitemates.

What if she balls out on a trip to Vegas and finds out later that he has a few slam pieces on the side during his work travel??
