I dunno man...Doesn't seem like the type of car that would have stuff on there just for looks.

maybe its not being used in an efi capacity, but just as a big plenum for the nitrous being run into it?

in other words just a big cheap empty box to mix and chill the whole mixture together? plus who cares about drilling holes in some old shitty GM EFI unit?

i bet the throttle-body isnt hooked up to anything and permanently closed.

on the other hand its still probably more likely to be a show gimmick. doesnt mean it actually works.

I've seen individual throttle bodies on a honda valkyrie... that were 90deg to the intake runner...

they were for looks only

^ah, well, good point - however they are usually fed from a single plenum

I should have said, the motorcycle had (6) fake bell-mouthed inlets mounted perpendicularly to the intake runners... no clue on what that thing is equipped with from factory

what do you think the weight distribution is like on that thing? looks like there is a lot of differential braking happening to get it to rotate

A v8 in a geo? That car is almost certainly faster than any POS Prowler. I love it. I wonder what kind of chassis it runs.

[Edited on December 2, 2012 at 3:51 PM. Reason : and the fake carbs mounted to a throttle body in first pic is pretty common.]

I bet it gets less than 20 MPG and handles like shit.

Fueleconomy.gov will gladly confirm the MPG statement.
It's a MPV minivan. It only handled well in 1989 when compared to other minivans. Late 80's minivan handling is not a difficult benchmark to achieve. Any body rigidity it had was killed when they cut off the roof and I'm sure the suspension components are just as worn out as the rest of the car.

wow you came in here with a bit of anger and a whole bunch of stupid.

its a mid engined RWD toyota previa, some were awd, some came with manual transmissions and superchargers... also its a 1991-1997 because those are the only years that came here.
they actually handle pretty awesome especially for vans... i'm sure this one is a sloppy noodle after having all the chassis rigidity hacked away.

but it does only get 20mpg.

Previas were AWD or FWD. some were supercharged. They were not RWD.

Be goddamned. Previas were indeed RWD. The engine is a 2SELC if memory serves me correctly, and the bitch lays on it's side...in the middle. The standards driving wheels are the rear ones.

Today, toyotafj40s lost a little garage cred.

So, to his defense:

Quote :
". The United States version of the Previa was discontinued after the 1997 model year, replaced by the more traditionally designed, front-wheel-drive, U.S.-designed and -built, Camry-based Sienna"

Previa is mid engine and rwd. Reason why Top Gear said it was the Supercar of vans during their minivan racing championship a few years back.

'12 NMSJ Frontier, dark red.

When I was coming through there a white Ford looked as if it were going to become car #3 in that wreck; then the guy slammed on the brakes and went around... IDK, I went past that wreck twice and remember the white ford and saw it/one in your picture.
