After the perception of Romney having a big win last time, I suppose he's the favorite this time too. Starts at 9pm. I'm looking forward to the variety of questions that could come up with this style of the audience asking the questions. What would it take for you to see this debate as an Obama win or a Romney win?
10/16/2012 7:20:45 PM
i wouldn't say that romney is the favorite, per se, but the pressure is definitely on obama.pretty off-topic, but my beef with the debates is that they are too late. there are too few undecided voters left. they should do the conventions earlier, do one debate soon after that, one a few weeks before the election, and one somewhere in the middle.[Edited on October 16, 2012 at 7:37 PM. Reason : .]
10/16/2012 7:36:46 PM
Yeah, they do come pretty late in the game. It's hard to understand how people are still undecided, especially with these candidates who have both been running for so many years.
10/16/2012 7:43:07 PM
What about undecided who can't decide between one of the candidates and third party
10/16/2012 7:47:39 PM
Unfortunately these debates wont help much with that. I wish they would include 3rd parties in these debates.
10/16/2012 7:55:20 PM
Sorry corporate candidates only:http://www.ibtimes.com/jill-stein-green-party-candidate-arrested-outside-debate-video-847567Jill Stein arrested outside the debate venue (Green Party Candidate)

I'd love to see a Gary Johnson vs Jill Stein debate. I hope they'll do their own, I think a lot of people would tune in online. I think it speaks to the relative strength of their campaigns though that many people at least know who Gary Johnson is and what party he's with, but for Jill it requires a party label in parentheses. That said, I support more 3rd party inclusion, and have signed petitions to help get the Greens on ballot.
10/16/2012 8:35:47 PM
Looks like there wont be official opening or closing remarks, more time to focus on questions I guess.

No one wants to hear them talk amongst themselves, I want to hear them debate the republican and democrtatic candidates

blame the CPDthey've set a bar that only Ross Perot could have reached: at least 15% in each of several national polls[Edited on October 16, 2012 at 9:15 PM. Reason : most pollsters don't even mention anyone but the D or the R

It seems like Obama is overcompensating.
10/16/2012 9:17:48 PM
Thanks lewisje! I'll check that out. I think given the even more divergent philosophies of those two 3rd parties, that it could be a stimulating debate.
10/16/2012 9:17:56 PM
haha. sneaky Mitt Romney trying to bait Obama into getting angry."C'mon Barak, show middle America just how black you are."
10/16/2012 9:21:25 PM
Damn, Romney's going in. Who knows if anything being said is actually true, but he's balls deep right now on this energy policy.
10/16/2012 9:21:36 PM
yeah i have no idea if what is being said is true, but for some reason i find obama more believable
10/16/2012 9:22:49 PM
the way romney is speaking, it sounds like he's giving a talk to a group of 3rd graders. smooth, un-animated boring snore snore blah blah blahobama is more animated and more interesting to listen toalso, romney is trying to tell candy how to run this debate[Edited on October 16, 2012 at 9:25 PM. Reason : HERE WE GO, Romney's tax plan]
10/16/2012 9:24:50 PM
http://twitter.com/politifactanyone know the deal on this oil drilling thing? why does it even matter if drilling is down on public land, if production is up overall? That seems like a good thing...
10/16/2012 9:24:56 PM
So... Did Romney just admit that his plan is to eliminate most of his taxes?I mean, it's not like that isn't known but it's weird to hear him say it out loud.
10/16/2012 9:27:49 PM
Pretty much said he was removing deductions for the middle class and cutting his taxes
10/16/2012 9:34:46 PM
Obama hasn't got the memo about the $5T claim, huh?
10/16/2012 9:36:37 PM
Did you miss the part right above your post where I said he was cutting deductions for the middle class? I also didn't mention that making it revenue neutral involves major cuts to Medicare.Enjoy your child deduction? Enjoy student loan payment deductions? Tough shit!

That would be huge. The way Republicans sent us to war without including the costs in the budget is disgusting.

Question: Romney, how will you keep automatic weapons off the streets?Romney: By requiring two people to get married before having kids.
10/16/2012 10:23:26 PM
Correct answer: By making sure the government (BATF) no longer gives them out to Mexican cartels in Southern Texas.
10/16/2012 10:26:17 PM
Obama: We can't eliminate all of the mentally ill people.
10/16/2012 10:27:07 PM
There's the 47% question.

you know you wanna post it here, Jake. you can't help yourself
10/16/2012 11:04:25 PM
Obama won tonight's debate. The problem? Both candidates are still truly only going to answer to their big corporate and special interest donors. It's plutocracy
10/16/2012 11:06:27 PM
Three separate polls, CNN's poll, Public Policy Polling's poll, and the CBS News poll all calling this a victory for the President. CBS also found in its poll that Biden won the VP debate. Romney is really going to need a victory in the final debate next week. Early voting starts in 2 days.
10/16/2012 11:41:28 PM
When CNN broke up the individual issues, Romney handily won everything except foreign policy. How about not being a gay DNC delegate for a few minutes Supplanter?
10/16/2012 11:56:37 PM
