I liked the pilot more then Revolution. Hopefully it can last at least 2-3 seasons.

New papa roach album?I'm Krallum and I approved this message.
9/18/2012 12:43:00 PM
I haven't watched this yet because I assumed it would be terrible.
9/18/2012 2:33:07 PM
I rather enjoyed it.
9/18/2012 2:35:24 PM
better than I expected, I'll give it another episode
9/18/2012 4:01:36 PM
Huh? The television season premier is on the 27th. I'm guessing the OP watched it online.
9/18/2012 4:14:31 PM
Hulus

9/18/2012 4:51:20 PM
this and revolution are the only two new shows I'm planning on catching. Hopefully this makes up for the meh of revolution
9/18/2012 5:05:50 PM
^ same here. we watched last resort last night and liked it a lot more than we thought we would.
9/18/2012 8:56:07 PM
I don't think they did the Hulu launch right. Putting it online to appeal to the tv early adopters is a great idea, but there needs to be incentive to get them to participate in the first episode airing. Play two episodes or an extended episode or something so they still have a reason to tune-in on that first night. You need to get people into that mode of sitting in front of the tv to watch your show or they will always be internet consumers, your ratings won't reflect your viewership, and the show will get pulled.

So they fired a nuke that landed 250 miles away from DC.So....Delaware? Seriously, I'm confused where the fuck the missile landed
9/25/2012 3:11:22 PM
landed in the ocean from what the dude said and what they showed on screen following the track
9/25/2012 3:13:06 PM
dude on the radar said 200 miles east of washington, with the blast visible from both DC and NYC. So yeah, that's right off the coast of Delaware.
9/25/2012 3:26:33 PM
Dear guy who is trying to be smarter than everyone, 200 miles east of DC is still ~90-110 miles east of Delaware. If anything its closer to New Jersey. What a stupid thing to get hung up on.Sincerely,Guy who is smarter than you
9/25/2012 4:34:26 PM
90-110 is still plenty close to deal damage to civilians along the coast. SBLMs are around 400kt iirc.
9/25/2012 10:43:30 PM
I wish we had a new episode tonight.
9/27/2012 3:41:41 PM
Its new to me dammit. THANKS FOR THE SPOILERS GUYS!
9/27/2012 8:49:01 PM
Great pilot. I'm in all the way.
9/27/2012 9:34:35 PM
Amazing pilot, really curious to see how this plot develops!********Spoiler*********I am curious though, how does the boat run into the ocean floor and not foul out their condensers...the Enterprise ran aground and fouled out all their condensers and they were scooping sand for days. The SSBN just started spinning and got on like nothing happened!********End spoiler, and attempt to sound smart********[Edited on September 27, 2012 at 10:04 PM. ^the average viewer isn't supposed to think about those things
9/27/2012 10:29:36 PM
In an event where a military coup fires missles at an american sub, nuclear weapons at Pakistan, and a nuclear weapon hits off the coast of Delaware (Washington DC) fired from an American sub, you're mad that they didn't accurately portray hitting the bottom?
9/28/2012 7:44:28 AM
show has promise. i'm intrigued to see how everything plays out going forward so i think this will be a keeper in my scheduled tv watching.
9/28/2012 8:15:43 AM
^^well i can't help it i caught the one inaccuracy.
9/28/2012 4:29:10 PM
Watched the pilot last night, seems promising. Have a couple minor questions...1) Can a sub deploy nukes to specific locations of their choosing, or is the location included with the provided "launch codes"? For some reason I always thought it was the guys back in DC who did the routes, while the sub guys just hit the Go button.2) Can anyone just walk onto a sub's bridge if they wanted, or is there some kind of locked door? Seems odd that the SEALs can just walk up in there and ask what the orders were.
9/28/2012 5:07:27 PM
I'm kind of curious if subs generally carry enough small arms to invade an island.
9/28/2012 5:15:06 PM
I would imagine they have a good amount of weapons on board. And its not like the island required much force to take.
9/28/2012 7:24:18 PM
I dug it, will watch some more
9/28/2012 11:52:48 PM
Another interesting idea and actually competent first episode, but it's on the edge of being bad with some of the acting and dialogue.
9/29/2012 7:20:29 PM
Suffocation.No breathing.
10/1/2012 1:34:32 PM
watched it tonight from DVR... really enjoyed it. and jesus some of you people do everything you can to ruin a show (bbehe)the nuke CLEARLY landed out in the ocean, and not on Delaware not only that, but it appeared to be an underwater blast, which would severely diminish the kill radius compared to an air burst.
10/2/2012 11:03:22 PM
Hell, poking fun at the show is fun. If I wasn't enjoying it, I wouldn't be in this thread, I mean I think Revolution is a dumb show and don't watch it so I steer clear of that thread.
10/2/2012 11:49:43 PM
fair enough.
10/3/2012 3:21:52 PM
Steven - I would imagine it's b/c a SSBN has much more of a closed / more maintained system. Fouling debris would likely create noise which is the opposite of what they design for in SSBN's. Locked doors on a sub that impede emergency access? Yeah they don't do that. The missiles should be able to be targeted on board as well, they are after all, either a first strike (orders from someone else) or a retaliatory weapon to be employed after C&C has been atomized.
10/3/2012 3:23:51 PM
Entertaining, I'm enjoying this show
10/4/2012 8:40:33 PM
There's only two locked doors on the sub as a general matter of habit: the reactor compartment door and the communications door. Reactor for obvious reasons, and comm to protect the crypto equipment. i don't think even the CO locks his door
10/4/2012 8:54:40 PM
I'm a little confused about what they're trying to get out of the XO's wife. What is it going to change making her not trust her husband?
10/5/2012 7:39:18 AM
^I think they figure he is the only other person of authority that they can attempt to turn. They can't use the Captains son, obviously. But the XO is obviously trusted by the Captain and has somebody waiting on him at home. Guess they figure he's the only person who could challenge the captain and have the crew follow him on a mutiny.
10/5/2012 11:08:19 AM
Right, but I just figured causing strife between herself and her husband would be the last way to accomplish that.
10/5/2012 11:37:14 AM
the first time she talked to her husband she warned him not to trust anything they tell him. they're trying to use her as leverage to get him to turn against the captain but she wont go along with it. they're hoping if she no longer trusts him and his motives they can use her to get the xo to take down the captain
10/5/2012 5:43:38 PM
Fell asleep during last episode
10/5/2012 9:05:08 PM
sucks for you. you should go back and watch. This series has had 2 good episodes so far.
10/5/2012 9:39:10 PM
I'm not expert on military practices but I feel like that one dude's hair is way too long for him to be a Navy SEAL.
10/6/2012 1:33:47 PM
dvr'd this on a whim and i'm hooked so far
10/7/2012 9:50:23 PM
back when the Afghanistan war started in 2001, the special forces guys over there let their hair and beards grow out to better blend with the muslims and their beards... (i'm sure this happens often depending on their assignment/mission)
10/7/2012 10:23:42 PM
With everything else on last night, did anybody watch this? I caught up with it.
10/12/2012 12:22:19 PM
a good navy seal can squeeze out a beard in under 2 hours
10/12/2012 12:32:08 PM
this was on last night? wtf? the debate was on every channel.fuck it was on at 8, i was thinking 9 it was on [Edited on October 12, 2012 at 1:13 PM. Reason : .]

I thought it was pretty good, but they are still trying to build a number of story lines and characters so we seem to be jumping from place to place on the island a lot. And Cobb is still an ass.
