also, find a friend with a car and go to Time Out on Franklin St. in chapel hill. best $11 you can spend on food, and they never close. ever.

^Yep, it's been gone for several months. Valentine Commons was using the building for their leasing office before completion of their buildings.

Other places open surprisingly late:
-Jimmy John's (til 2 or 3 AM I want to say)
-Char-Grill (I think midnight on weekdays, 2 on weekends)
-Snoopy's (midnight weekdays, 3 weekends)
-The Subway next to the Wolf Mart stays open til at least midnight, or at least it used to, but you probably know this already.

hah that didn't last long. Can't say I'm all that surprised. I think it's one of those places that survives on nostalgia alone. I finally tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago when I was in Chapel Hill and thought it was meh.

^Agreed. When drunk, Time Out falls under the "omg best thing ever" category. When sober, it's decent, but everything they do is done better by somewhere else at the same price point. (Chicken isn't as good as Bo, BBQ not as good as Ole Time/Smithfield's, etc.)

Though it is the only place you can get many of those food items at 3:30 AM, so it has that going for it.
