^^^I picked up an iMac for $10 last year (hard drive had been wiped), and [user]Rolfpack[/user] got a really nice desk chair for $3 a few years ago. They have a lot of good deals, and of course, a lot of shit too.

I went to one at UNCG a couple years ago. I got there an hour before it started and the line was already around the corner. By the time I got inside, there wasn't shit left.

But I did see a lot of people coming out with laptops, so I assume that if you get there super early you can get some good deals

first time i went, i got there at 6am (2 hours early) and signed my name on the line list thing. 76th in line.

next time, went to campus rec and rented a tent for the night. got to the sale at 4pm on thursday first in line with two friends and a handle of southern comfort, put the tent up literally right in front of the door to the sale, and proceeded to get slammered all night while all the indians slept on the concrete outside our tent. and snagged 19 laptops the next morning.

Plus non-OEM replacement batteries are stupid cheap and the 4-5 I've bought for personal use have been fine.

Yeah, I always buy non-OEM batteries on Ebay. Never bought one for a laptop, but I have bought countless cell phone batteries on there. Super cheap and have never had any issues.

went to the preview today... not much there this time. about 25 desktops, 15 laptops, a few monitors and projectors and like 3 pieces of lab equipment. prolly will skip this time around

It's still in the same place it was; just on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month. I bought a real shitbox Lenovo Thinkcentre from them last year... not really worth it but it had an official PROPERTY OF NCSU HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT sticker on the side so it was okay.

Otherwise the furniture is really cheap and sometimes they have good letterman jackets / shoes. Just be aware that it's mostly stuff for the basketball team that was never used so the shoes are size 14 and above and all the jackets are XXL and up :3

Got a lab table as my first apartment desk there for a dollar back in the day and a nice padded chair that I still have for 3 bucks.

An old dormmate got one of those sweet dorm chairs with the flat lean back position that he still uses to this day.

I about cracked open my skull on many occasions from those dorm chairs. They were all cool at first, but then I would get too comfortable and just keep going back.

One time it happened while I was on the webcam with a guy that I had a crush on. It never worked out between us. I'm pretty sure it's all because of that chair.
