This is just bizarre. The government is asserting that a T-Rex skeleton should be seized and forfeited based on... well, apparently no evidence whatsoever, and under the premise that its importation violated Mongolia's constitution from 1924 which has since been replaced with a newer constitution in that country.

Just a weird, weird case.

Not weird at all. Quite normal. With so many laws on the books it just isn't possible to live your life without technically breaking a law somewhere. At that point it is just a matter of getting on the wrong persons radar and your property gets seized.
