only at stoplights or when no one is around. Still wrong, but mostly just dangerous to myself.

Their parents need to learn how to do some defensive driving to account for my stupid ass on the road.

I have this wondrous device called a mobile telephone that allows me to talk to people over any distance and have them be able to talk back. I find this saves me from having to type while driving and thus acting as a danger to myself and others.

At stoplights.

And there has been a time or two when I've been on the interstate with virtually no cars anywhere near me and I've done it.

I will send a "k" while driving in response to a text as I can do that without looking at my phone

hey guys, let me send you a text, so you can read it on your phone, as opposed to an email that you can either read on your phone, or on any computer

i guess texting is cool if you still have a flip phone or something

Plus text delivery is real time[ish] and only depends on the cellular network, while email delivery varies from phone to phone (could be 15,30+ minutes until a notification shows up, if at all) and depends on a data connection.

on Androids, GMail is almost instantaneous...not sure about iPhone settings

most of the stuff i'll reply to while driving is back and forth email correspondence about work stuff

if somebody texts me like "hey what are you doing" i'm not gonna be in a hurry to answer them

honestly i prefer HeyTell while driving, but i've only got like half a dozen people who even use it, its the shit though

I usually use my talk to text for short things or just call the person back. I have a friend who texts like a beast while driving claiming that she can do it without looking. Every time she starts a back and forth with me, I just call her.

I might text "k", "Yes", or "No" while driving, but that's about it. I usually just wait until I get somewhere or call people if I need to talk.

I'll read a text, but usually just call the person (hands-free) to respond.

When I had a regular phone and could T9 my way through a whole paragraph without looking at the screen, yes.

Now that I have an iPhone, no way.

I hate it when Peter texts me while he is driving. I usually try not to respond so he doesn't kill himself or someone else.
