I mean, don't go out of your way, as I don't know if there's a market for those parts locally. There's plenty of other reputable stores (online mostly) that stock what I need, and I won't be needing it for another 1 or 2 years.
Kudos if you offer big brake kits.

crazy expensive rotors are only worth it in certain applications, for example, DBA 2 piece rotors are worth it but only for race cars where heat and weight matter.
In your case a Centric Premium rotor would do well for you, and thsoe are inexpensive 8/29/2012 5:11:16 PM

They make a HPS Performance Street, Performance Ceramic, LTS Light Truck & SUV, and a Superduty
I would either go with the PC or the LTS, PC the coefficient of friction is not as high but they will produce a lot less dust.
LTS has a higher friction coefficient but willl be slightly dustier. 9/5/2012 4:04:44 PM

i tow a 17' boat without trailer brakes. would i need the higher friction pads or will the performance ceramics be sufficient? obviously i'd like less brake dust if possible.
for reference:

[Edited on September 5, 2012 at 4:26 PM. Reason : don't tow it a whole lot]

If that's the case I would recommend the LTS. Its always easier to clean your wheels than it is to deal with an accident cause your truck didn't stop. 9/5/2012 4:48:13 PM

I run cheap, $25 brake rotors on my Z06, even on track. I throw them away and put new ones on every time I change the brake pads (Carbotech). 9/7/2012 9:14:46 PM

Hiro All American 4673 Posts user info edit post |
So the question is, "how often do you change brake pads?"

At one point, every other month
(the months I didn't replace tires)
Haven't been tracking it as much lately, though 9/7/2012 10:12:11 PM

trigger910 Starting Lineup 57 Posts user info edit post |
So Carbotech pads are known to be rotor friendly. If you took those cheap rotors and tracked it with a Hawk DTC-60 or 70. That rotor would be torn to bits after the first session. If you go with a DBA 4000 Series which is half the price of a 2-piece. They can last multiple weekends, as long as they are cooled properly.

The Carbotech Bobcats are good rotor friendly, low dust pads, but you will find they don't last as long as you would like them to.
