Working on a custom built desk for my office and I'm looking to transfer my rig from its current monster of a case to the smallest (thinnest) one possible so I can mount it under the desk and out of sight. Of course I'm looking to do this as cheap as possible so I'm trying to avoid buying a new MB and PSU (thus the need for a full ATX case). They're going for $50-$75 on eBay but the shipping costs are insane so I'd like to grab one local and used if possible. I know lots of TDubbers are regulars at the state surplus and such so I was hoping I'd get lucky. Lemme know what you got!IMPORTANT! - Very willing to offer trade for my current case after the transplant, which is a Coolermaster Cosmos 1010 in great shape!http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119147[Edited on August 20, 2012 at 1:12 AM. Aren't most rackmount cases very loud?

It depends on the number and size of the cooling fans. Since I won't actually be putting it in a rack with a bunch of other machines the heat won't be an issue. I'm most likely going to Frankenstein the case to fit my needs and add a custom cooling solution. I just need the framework to hold everything in place.

bttt Come on I know someone's got something lying around... Anyone? Fregac?

Nope, nothing here. Most of the "custom" rackmount cases I see at Surplus that fit normal ATX boards are 4U.

Damn, thanks anyways Fregac - you come across one, maybe even a 3U, lemme know!
