Sweet

Please describe the problem in better detail, so that people will actually think of answers; it could actually be something entirely unrelated to Magento, which kicks ass, or so I've heard.

lewisje posting in a tech talk thread when he doesn't know shit about the topic

I know a bit about them. My company provides an eCommerce solution for people to get onto additional marketplaces - we interface with quite a few Magento sites. feel free to pm me

I feel bad for slappy1.
8/27/2012 4:03:17 PM
update: met with them today and cried towards the end. I was also so frustrated that I was sweating profusely.
8/27/2012 5:36:28 PM
We used magento enterprise for a couple years and I worked a couple projects with their expert consulting group. ^ are you saying magento made you cry?
8/27/2012 10:13:03 PM
no, the dev firm we hired, which has been super-late on its deliverables, is frustrating us all
8/28/2012 2:49:43 AM
ITT, we learn that slappy1 is actually lewisje
8/28/2012 9:12:35 AM
we've learned that magneto can tell your diet... hot chick hitting on you is a lie!
8/28/2012 9:40:19 AM
then demand payment back if they are late on shit like that.
8/28/2012 11:35:28 AM
Ah we always just dealt directly with magento. Their regular support team was a bit lax (though I'm sure it's improved) but their dev team was always great to work with.

8/28/2012 4:46:46 PM
what do you mean no? You answerd a question directed at the other guy
8/31/2012 12:27:04 PM
As aggressive and direct as slappy1 may be, she's no d00dalso I just got access to the Basecamp and Magento installations for the dev site, and as suspected they were way behind on their deliverablesbut I forgive them(then again it wasn't my money thrown in the pit so...)
8/31/2012 6:59:35 PM
they were using templates for 90 bucks you could buy off any site.
9/1/2012 12:22:41 AM
it's what they started with
9/1/2012 5:33:13 PM
And what have they done for $15k that you couldn't have figured out yourself James? I'm just sick about this whole thing.
9/6/2012 11:13:28 PM
Megan you're cute why didn't you get your way?
9/6/2012 11:35:49 PM
wtf is going on in this thread anymore? its like everyone is the same person but they are all talking to eachother. pls2explain
9/6/2012 11:41:50 PM
^^lol^^^idk tbqh, I mean they did provide a proper dev environment so I wouldn't need to be editing things on the live serveralso the implementation of a couple themes as proper add-ons to Magento rather than hacking away at the corealso some custom training for Magento (ongoing)still prolly not worth the money we've spent
9/7/2012 1:03:15 AM
Did they do any modules or custom coding other than themes?
9/7/2012 11:29:47 PM
they added 3 rectangles to the home page that apparently weren't part of the theme. and set up our shopping cart. Apparently those items took the majority of the 65+ hours we've been billed for.
