I have this certificate that I had made and printed out. I also have the original file. What I DO NOT have is a scan of the piece of paper. That's what I want and I'm too lazy to go back out to the print shop.Is there a softwares that can "scan" directly from a file? Will it work to just take a screenshot and crop it? will it be the same electronically?

wat.Ok, that wasn't helpful. But I truly don't know what you're asking here. How does one take a "scan" of a file? If the file isn't meaningfully different than the print out then a screenshot would be even better than a scan of the print out. Just take a screenshot. In Windows, hit print screen then open paint and hit CTRL+V.[Edited on July 25, 2012 at 10:09 AM. Reason : .]

Or just save as? Or Print to pdf? I'm confused as to what you want to do.

i want to hide the fact that the document was made on a puter just last night. I want to simulate the process of printing the file onto paper, then scanning it with a scanner, then emailing it to somebody saying "I just scanned this person's document."

Take a screenshot of the PDF. Rotate the resulting image so it's a little off. Add some noise in the image editor of your choice; better yet, make the image monochrome black and white. So, what likely dishonest thing are you up to?

hahahhaha I live in Shanghai. Everything is dishonest here because everything is illegal. Just gotta show the government that a guy has this pointless credential so he can get this other pointless credential.
