I'm interested in Swimming the most out of all of the events. Women's beach volleyball is a close second.
6/30/2012 1:41:07 AM
can't wait to watch gymnastia

These Phelps/Lochte races have been dynamite in the trials. They are going to be gold/silver in the 3 events they race together. Will be interesting to see who takes gold. Lochte coming on is probably the best thing that could have happened for Phelps. It has prevented him from becoming complacent.

7/1/2012 9:44:45 PM
i guess i've never really watched the trials before, but are there always this many fuck ups in gymnastics? i mean 2 belly busters on the uneven bars back to back
7/1/2012 9:46:41 PM
lol that chick on the bars sucksglad she won't be fucking up for our country this month[Edited on July 1, 2012 at 9:50 PM. Reason : that black chick is gonna win us the gold with her fast twitch athleticism]

So what is everyone actually interested in watching? I'll probably tune into men's soccer, men's boxing, Track & Field, swimming, and maybe some men's basketball. After that I don't really care.
7/1/2012 10:17:25 PM
- basketball- track and field- women's gymnastics
7/1/2012 10:22:20 PM
If it's anything like last time, I will watch literally everything. I watched the the previous summer olympics constantly.

My wife hates swimming because she claims that the swimming events have been scheduled in the past to assists Phelps to get all of his golds.

You know that white boy Phelps is gonna get some special consideration. And DAYUM, these female gymnasts have got abs just rippling underneath their suits. It is pretty hot.[Edited on July 2, 2012 at 2:04 PM. Reason : fd]

No run off for third place qualifier in women's 100m.London 2012 video game is pretty good. Not as heavy on the button mashing and they've added commentary to the events
7/2/2012 9:58:05 PM
The problem with the summer Olympics is that they don't have women's curling. On the upside, there's TEAM HANDBALL.
7/3/2012 1:43:19 AM
No Brazilian jiu-jitsu though. That needs to be an olympic sport soon. It's much more deserving of a spot than synchronized diving or rhythmic gymnastics. Most of the summer olympics sucks. I'll watch the track and field (even though they're all juiced, on HGH, blood dopers, etc.) and swimming because the races are so close and so competitive. I'll watch women's beach volleyball for the ass, and I'll that's about it.Olympic boxing is a travesty, the team sports are mostly made up of second rate guys or people for whom this isn't a very big deal (baseball, soccer, basketball).Track & Field and swimming are really the only thing that makes the summer olympics anywhere near as enjoyable to watch as the winter games.
7/3/2012 4:09:45 AM
Track will always be goodBaseball isn't an Olympic sport anymore, because it's the middle of the MLB season and it makes no sense to have an international competition right nowBasketball would be interesting as long as the whole thing isn't just constant yakking about LeBron finally winning a ringBadminton is fucking awesome in the Olympics
7/3/2012 11:37:14 AM
Hmmm, so it was. No more baseball and no more softball. Fortunately we get to enjoy golf and ruby sevens in their place.

I find the World Baseball Classic to be a more fun tournament than whatever the IOC would have anyway. Unlike the IOC, at least MLB is honest that they're about making money.[Edited on July 3, 2012 at 2:32 PM. Reason : .]

How do people feel about the double amputee on the South African relay team? Seems like he might have an unfair advantage between the weight savings and the purpose-built carbon fiber blade feet.[Edited on July 5, 2012 at 7:27 PM. Reason : T]
