I bought this drive from Newegg for my friend's laptop, only to find that it is a tad taller than the old drive and does not fit (since his machine mounts the drive upside down with no top clearance, hence the connector is a tad off). Rather than go through the returns process and mailing I'd prefer to just sell it for a bit less!

The drive is a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD10TPVT, with a manufactured date of Feb 22, 2012. It has never even been formatted, and is under two year manufacturer warranty plus an addition 1 year NewEgg extended warranty (a promotion at the time). I have the receipts and original packaging in case warranty support is ever needed.

Please note that it IS a millimeter or two taller than your standard 9.5mm laptop drive, so double check it will fit your model. It should be fine in the vast majority of machines, including most Apple laptops!
