thats still at 2.9%+.30 cent on every sale.same as paypal...am i missing something with that?and google wallet is almost the opposite of what i am looking. say i have a venue like Xpoetry reading Festival. the people that are attending buy tickets online...I need somewhere to handle that money and deposit to an account much like paypal...but they have a rather high fee.[Edited on June 21, 2012 at 5:41 PM. 4% isn't all that high, visa merchant fees are close to that if you set up your own website and handled all the transactions yourself. Only way you'll get around a fee is if you only take cash or check.

The best merchant account rate I ever found was through Costco. You have to do a little bit more in terms of qualifications, but the rates are MUCH better.http://www.elavon.com/acquiring/costco/1.38% + 19c/trans retail, 1.99% + 25c/trans online, 1.99% + 19c/trans rewards

good call on costco...Im a Sams club member and they have a terrific rate on the website, actually called a friend that worked there and she got me an even better rate!! sucks you cant link in a State employees account.

came here to say stripe.unless you're doing some pretty high transaction volume, you're going to be hard pressed to beat 2.9% + $0.30 once you factor in all the fees that are associated with traditional merchant accounts.

Except for, you know, Costco which has a rate much lower and no hidden fees
