Poole's always has something delicious for dessert. The milkshakes at Chuck are awesome. The dessert empanadas at Calavera are A++. Goodberry's is one of my favorites for ice cream.

Now that I think about it though my favorite places for dessert all seem to be in Durham lol.

I used to love Goodberry's. I went there yesterday, and had the worst strawberry milkshake of my life. Tasted like there was no ice cream in it at all, straight up milk and strawberry chunks.

I've never had their milkshakes. I always get their concretes. If you want an amazing strawberry shake you should head to Chuck's!

There's a bagel shop by the Trader Joe's in Cary that sells Hayes Barton desserts for those not near Five Points.

I wanted to add:

Chuck's milkshakes
Beasley's chess pie and other desserts
Al-Madina Bakery (chocolate croissants all the way, but baklava and other Middle Eastern desserts)
CupAJoe (still love their scones and muffins)

Banana's Foster at Winston's was on point the one time I had it.

I usually elect to hit up Maggie Moo's for ice cream/milkshake over Goodberry's or Coldstone.

Is that the one in Mission Valley? If so the one time I went in there and got something the entire place smelled like someone had died and the cookies I bought had rancid fat in them. I took one bite, went , and threw the rest out. If that's not where you're talking about, carry on

For Baklava, Basmas, other pastries that start with B, and Rice Pudding, one needs to look no further than Neomonde.

[Edited on June 12, 2012 at 10:11 AM. Reason : Turkish Delight does have some good Baklava too, upon reflection. And the building is purple.]

In September you have to hit up the Greek Festival for that baked pudding thing they sell. So good. The doughnuts paired with the Greek coffee is also A++.
