IMO all smokers should try these things for obvious reasons.I can vape all day for about 50 cents. I get 16mg juice from bluemistvaping.com for 20 cents/ml then get inexpensive PG and VG and cut it down to 6mg so I am paying about 10 cents/ml. Cartomizers are 2 dollar bucks but last at least a week. All ingredients are food grade and known to be harmless except nicotine and even that is debatable. It may not be worse than caffeine. You dont have to out in the cold to vape at home and do can vape pretty much anywhere in public. Plus you dont smell like shit afterwards.Only downside I have found are withdrawal symptoms which for me are headaches and difficulty concentrating which go away after 2 days if I dont vape or instantly if I do. So there is no reason to cause a slow and painful death for yourself just because you like nicotine.

so this is a method to ease out of smoking altogether? or just a safer alternative to smoking you plan to do long-term?why go two days without vaping at all?
5/6/2012 10:32:27 AM
^i think it will be long term for me. i enjoy it so why not. i have quit for a few days a couple different times just to make sure i can.

When they come out with one that works, let us know.I've now owned two, and they were always breaking, and they never really worked the way I wanted them to. There wasn't enough vapor.
5/6/2012 11:21:27 AM
^these are the batteries and carts i use. they make LOTS of vaper and the batteries are bullet proof. you do have to careful with the carts but not as much if you get a long cone to support it.http://www.litecigusa.net/510_CLEAR_Dual_Coil_1_5ohm_MEGA_SOFT_CAP_Blank_Car_p/510cleardualcoil.htm http://www.litecigusa.net/Joye_ego_MEGA_Manual_Switch_Battery_p/megaegombatt.htmhttp://www.litecigusa.net/Joye_ego_cone_p/egocone.htmi had to file down the cone end a little because the carts are slightly too big to fit.
5/6/2012 11:39:00 AM
^^There are plenty that work very well, but you pretty much have to build your own. I have a lot of stuff that broke or just didn't work, but doing a lot of research helps you find better quality suppliers to begin with.^That's really similar to what I used. I used the Vision carto's and EC2's since I never really liked the ones with polyfill. The EC2's are still my favorite all around, and they're the cheapest bottom-feed tank carto out there. Easy to clean, well constructed, and lots of vapor.

What would be the best route to take for someone who 90% of the time smokes Newport 100s menthol. We have tried Blu menthol & they didn't prove an effective alternative. More coughing, different taste, etc. We only went through 4 @ $10 per e-cig
5/8/2012 9:39:26 AM
do they make electronic dip yet?

porcha, maybe try this juicehttp://shop.bluemistvaping.com/index.php?main_page=product_reviews&cPath=9_31&products_id=82&number_of_uploads=0i really like their hypermint flavor but it has more of a mint flavor and not much menthol taste [Edited on May 8, 2012 at 3:31 PM. Reason : s]

i must say, i'm not a big fan of using the word "vape" as a verb for inhaling from an e-cig

I hate when people think they can smoke these things in door especially at restaurants. They do have a scent, they do have a scent and can cause irritation. I wouldn't breathe something out of my mouth into some ones face and think it was okay.

Replacing one addiction with another is certainly a common experience. I do think some people are simply more prone to the chemical addiction than others. My experience has been that I had less of a chemical addiction (physical withdrawl symptoms, shakes, irritability and mood changes, etc.) and more of a compulsion or habit-forming problem (get bored, think about smoking whenever I'm not busy, wishing I could stop being busy and go smoke, etc.). Others have had varying degrees of both addictions/compulsions.The real difference here is that satisfying the desire to smoke, whatever the driver, can be less hazardous with an e-cig than doing so with tobacco, which contains a wide variety of carcingens and addictive substances that e-Liquid does not. The e-Liquid still contains the most potent and chemically critical addictive substance, but nicotine by itself is still relatively harmless. The e-cig can be called a "safer" alternative, only assuming you would use one or the other regardless of the circumstances. The primary advantage of the e-cig, only behind the lowered concentration of carcinogens, is the ability to repeatably and controllably lower the concentration of nicotine to the user. The closest thing to that level of control is using nicotine delivery patches, which fail to provide the tangible fulfillment of smoking, and therefore only addresses half of the addiction.

http://www.volcanoecigs.com/love every product I have from them use stevens.clark@gmail.com if you decide to try it !!and yes cancer sucks. for me I just enjoy the act of smoking. never enjoyed nicotine or cigarettes. now i can "smoke" with out all the hassle of dying and such.I vape 0mg e-liquidthey also opened their second retail store in Raleigh on morgan st. they have all their products, plus a coffee bar and frequently live music]

i have found the lower the nicotine strength the more i like vaping. i have been mixing up 3.5 mg/ml the last week or so. It also makes it cheaper as you can get PG for less than 2 cents a ml on amazon if you buy a quart.

got my guy smoking Mystic Menthol's now. He'll smoke one til its out, smoke a pack or two, smoke the e-cig. So far, not really helping him quit smoking but rather reduce the cost of smoking

i have been using a Blu for about 3 months now, after quitting cigarettes cold turkey back in the Spring. I like it, it's cheaper, i don't smell like smoke all the time, and i'm more productive because of it.I smoked for 10 years and have been able to give it up without much trouble due to E-cigs. It's a GREAT alternative.
7/27/2012 4:06:02 PM
I too quit after 10 years and a pack a day.Been smoke free since July 3rd 2011.Vapor4Life wowboy eliquid did it for me, but I also vape Ry4 every so often.

I haven't been able to smoke a cigarette for nearly two years now without feeling nauseated. It could just be a coincidence but it seemed to be around the same time that fire safe cigarette sales became required in North Carolina. The fire safe cigarettes will burn out in a minute or so if not inhaled. I remember getting frustrated at my cigarettes burning out more often than I was used to and have to smoke them faster. The higher level of chemicals cause an increase of side effects including Nausea, Sores in mouth and throat, Dry throat, constant headaches, extreme coughing, tightness in the chest, vomiting, body aches, pain in the abdomen and respiratory conditions including asthma and bronchitis. I would also argue that cigarettes smell worse now than they used to.I like the electronic cigarettes. I haven't taken up smoking them since I have already quit but I will smoke one every now and then if its available. I don't think I would ever go back to smoking cigarettes unless I rolled my own but there are still health related problems with the tobacco.

just bought a joye ego-c, been using it a couple weeks now. it's pretty awesome but they're banned in canada so getting the stuff is kinda hard I ordered a bunch of stuff from china and customs has had it for a couple weeks, doubt i'll get it. i got a passthrough battery too, and it appears to be a fucking dud i'm annoyed that it "tastes like burning" fairly frequently. guess it ain't as safe as they would like to claim. my favorite flavor so far is banana fosters.[Edited on September 29, 2012 at 5:17 PM. this is what I've been carrying around for the last couple months I'm sure everyone here will shit on the gas station brands but I'm relatively new to e-cigs (this is probably my fourth or fifth one, all the disposable gas station type) but I don't really know what I'm missing so it's no big deal. I was pretty impressed with Logic's customer service; I bought a "Cuban" and dropped it (but not from very high) within a couple hours, quit working. I sent them an email, mailed in the defective/broken one and they sent me a new one. +1 Logic[Edited on October 3, 2012 at 12:58 PM. Reason : asdf]

^the problem with the gas station brands is they dont make much vapor and the carts are not refillable. of course theyre still better than smoking
10/3/2012 5:36:54 PM
So just bought a disposable e-cig to try out. It's not too bad so I'm looking at the kits out there. Holy crap there's a ton. Anyone have any suggestions for a decent starter kit that isn't ridiculously expensive?
10/17/2012 9:25:53 PM
^I went with a Volt:http://smokelessimage.com/Most reviews seem to agree it's not the strongest you can find at vapor production, but good for a beginner kit. Found a promo code for 15% off via Google which helped. I've been using the regular Volt for a couple of months now (and now their "X2" model) and don't really have any complaints.[Edited on October 17, 2012 at 10:17 PM. Reason : ]

^^the upfront costs can be 50 dollars or so but after that its less than a dollar a day so you get your money back quickly if you are a regular smoker. you dont have to buy a "kit" to start. i still suggest the batteries and carts i posted in the 5th post of this thread and getting juice from bluemistvaping.com or making your own like i do.

Is anyone using the "Inferno?" My wife got it for me and I've been using it and it has helped me cut back on smoking. From time to time though, it can be hard to get any vapor at all, though I do feel the hit.Is there something I am doing wrong?
