In chrome its already highlighted so if you hit ctrl+v (or if you were typing the url for some retarded reason) then you don't have to worry about it. But eye can sea you're pointI'm Krallum and I approved this message.

I still say picture urls should be automagically turned into images, like regular urls are automagically turned into links. I don't see why people don't like this idear.

^^^I don't think we want auto-hotlink capability.

I never have this as a problem. I think time would be better spent on other items instead of stupid shit like this. But the users on this site will complain over the dumbest shit.

I don't get it. I'm not complaining about not having it, I just don't get why it's a bad idea...It's no different than links automatically getting the [link] tag.[Edited on May 5, 2012 at 4:41 PM. Reason : .]

^Consider that some image-hosts (like ImageShack) have blocked us specifically from hotlinking, and many other sites actually block hotlinking generally; it's much better to leave posters with the option to say "go to this URL to see the pic, because the site it's on won't let me post it right in the thread."I mean we don't want every single ImageShack image URL to turn into that frozen frog, nor every Snopes image URL to turn into Mr. Yuk.

or "i don't have html and this pic is fucking huge so i can't resize it"or"this pic contains a spoiler"or"here is 50 pics of some shit that only 3 people care about so i will save the general public from scrolling through all of them"I'm Krallum and I approved this message
