how in fucks sake can you be in raleigh long enough to graduate but not know of a restaurant to take a group of people to?i bet you spend a lot of time on the computer.

How much are trying to spend?Depending on where you go too all the "good" places might be packed.Red Monkey Tavern at the mall has really good food for the money The Pit isn't too badIrregardless Cafe is going to be $25-30 per meal but well worth itRaleigh Times also had a solid menu and good pricesI've never been disappointed with Cafe Luna downtown Five Star has some of the better Chinese food in the areaDave's Noodle Bar (I think it's called, where red hot and blue used to be) has really good lunch, but I've never done their dinnerCameron Bar and Grill in Cameron Village is also very good [Edited on April 29, 2012 at 12:50 PM. for my graduation we went to macaroni grill because it was 4:45 and the restaurant i wanted to go to didn't open until 5. and my sister pitched a hissy fit, like she often does. that being said, i second the suggestion of irregardless cafe.[Edited on April 29, 2012 at 12:59 PM. Reason : ]

^is your sister a portly girl?
4/29/2012 12:58:12 PM
nope, just didn't get her way enough when she was younger. that's my expert analysis of the situation.
4/29/2012 12:59:37 PM
All the good places are probably already reserved.
4/29/2012 1:03:31 PM
Yeah, I should have thought about it before, considering places will be packed. My question has more to do with places that have lots of space for large parties, not so much just good places to eat... I definitely know good places, just not used to having more people in a nicer setting.

I'm going to Fearrington House. Heron's is another good one. Second Empire. Nana's. go big or go home, especially if you've got the 'rents paying for it. [Edited on April 30, 2012 at 12:09 AM. Reason : Capital Club; Cardinal Club]

Rey's. been 2x. once with a group. food was great both times and they had a 'private' room that was nice for group discussions.

Tyler's Taproom and Natty Greenes both have a room you can rent out for large groups.

Thirded on Porter's, about 4 years back I procrastinated and was surprised they had some open tables a week before graduation. About half a dozen other grad lunches going on but no huge groups when I was there, mostly 4 to 8 people in the other groups from what I remember and rest couples. Food was pretty good.
