I made the first Minecraft thread. Might as well get started on Notch's next game, 0x10c.http://0x10c.com/

I <3 code, I wish I had more time to code
4/19/2012 11:45:14 PM
gotta slang dat pizza son.
4/19/2012 11:49:20 PM
nothing says fun times like programming in some made up ASM languageit's the damn LC-2/LC-3 all over again
4/20/2012 7:57:03 AM
So....however neat it may be, is this the least accessible "game" ever conceived? This is a compiler.
4/20/2012 8:19:33 AM
Ugh. Sounds like... work.
4/20/2012 8:29:12 AM
Gah, no!Obviously I butchered the explanation. This is a space exploration game. You fly around in a spaceship and do space battle and such. Having a fully functioning 16-bit computer is just a tiny part of it (the same way redstone is a small part of Minecraft).
4/20/2012 9:13:42 AM
Yo dawg I herd you like computers
4/20/2012 10:38:45 AM
^Lawlz...although, actually it does kind of sound like fun.
4/20/2012 10:47:38 AM
I was not one of the guys who spent forever in the lab messing around with assembly.
4/20/2012 10:53:53 AM
I had CSC236 with Lasher, probably one of my favorite classes ever.
4/20/2012 12:06:44 PM
^^^I mean for being all assembly it's not bad at all, except a few times I've had un-jumpable spans haha.
4/20/2012 12:54:16 PM
Well, thanks. The levels are random. It took me a while to figure out how to generate random numbers in the first place.
4/20/2012 2:22:28 PM
there any sorta gameplay trailer for this thing?
4/20/2012 2:46:53 PM
No. It's super early at this point. Knowing Notch though, a playable alpha is probably on its way.http://youtu.be/PlfRh9Tqeec

This thread made me read up on Notch (which I wanted to get around to) and Mensa. I didn't know Asia Carrera had an insanely high IQ along with Steve Martin, James Woods, Geena Davis, Quentin Tarantino, Sharon Stone and Luke from Modern Family.
4/20/2012 3:48:36 PM
I guess that stupid trading card game or whatever didn't go so well.
4/20/2012 4:50:26 PM
i'm pretty pumped. people have already written programs for intercept trajectory to be used for weapons targeting. not to mention an entire operating system.
4/20/2012 9:13:43 PM
4/21/2012 12:19:23 AM
a lot of programs will/are freely available. coding is only necessary if you desire.
4/21/2012 12:23:14 AM
Jeez. I thought you were kidding about the OS.AtlasOShttp://0x10co.de/bphnm
4/22/2012 1:01:41 PM
^where is the list of commands for that OS?
4/22/2012 1:09:04 PM
Haven't figured that out yet. I was able to cd, ls, and then execute the only two programs.
4/22/2012 1:12:24 PM
^^^That shit cray
4/22/2012 2:21:48 PM
4/22/2012 6:04:19 PM
needs more dwarf fortress
