hey guys, i have a friend that is search of this:

"I was interested to see if anyone still has a Unix workstation or server sitting around with a working tape drive that could read 4mm HP/UX tar tapes?"

was wondering if you guys have any leads or know where i could look?

I think any 4mm reader would work unless hp/ux doesn't use gnutar which is entirely possible. ebay and surplus would be the places to look. I'd look for a whole machine as drivers/interface support for something like that would likely be about 0 today
